I screwed up my makeshift timing belt tensioner tool the last time I did cams. It's really just a threaded rod with 2 nuts on it. If you want to tackle It yourself I can find out where to get the tool parts again. By the way I used the instructions listed above when I did mine both times & had no issues. Can't give you advice on a shop since I try to do all my own work. However the guys at Dyno4mance were great when I got tuned there.

I had Forged Performance install my GSC S1s and they did an excellent job. Dyno4mance is another great suggestion since they specialize in Evos.

I've done cam swaps before. If you need help just pm me and we'll go from there. :) Are you going to do springs and retainers too? Also, shop around and get quotes from various shops and weigh out the opportunity cost of either getting it done at a shop or have some friends help you out.

You will be fine driving with new cams, you just can't drive hard. You will want to put 400-500 miles on them before tuning anyway to break them in. Stay out of boost & high RPM till they are broken in & you get tuned.

Take it to Dyno4mance. They are by far the best of the other mentioned shops. What ever you do, DO NOT take it to TopSpeed. Unless you want your car to blow up.

id check your prices.

speed shops rape you on labor.

topspeed,dyno4mance, and forged would most likely charge you more than what you paid for the cams...

located in Marietta, Forged Performance 770-792-0202. Yes it will cost a pretty penny for all of the above mentioned. Cam install is a 4 hour job.
