ok so i have some questions since im new to evos. I am getting a deal on some 264 cams... Are they a good size for stock turbo and engine? Will i have to change my fuel pump n injctors ect..? Any ideas on a good set of cams? Not looking to spend a ton! Thanks for the help!!

That's a good size for the stock turbo ... 264 or 272 is fine. You will need some more fuel though, especially if it's a VIII.

For the VIII, Revolver, Kelford, GSC are good names. Also, the usual Cosworth and JUN comes up, but they are $$. Absolutely, DO NOT buy Crower cams for the Evo. I haven't seen a single car that did well with them.

Oh, okay. Hi. Lol.

Just the Walboro 255 pump should be fine for now.

Since you have a 03 you definitely need to upgrade your fuel pump. They are inexpensive, easy to install, and give you peace of mind. 264's are a good size for a stock turbo. I have 268s (GSC S1s) and they are great for my setup. You won't have to worry about upgrading your valvetrain as well. You shouldn't have to worry about your injectors until you look at upgrading your turbo, but your tuner can give you better insight once he looks at your logs.

Honestly, if you're installing cams go ahead and do springs/retainers at the same time. It's added safety if nothing else.

264's are nice, but why not have the best of both worlds and go with a 272?

Yea bud. Go with either a HKS 272 or a GSC S1, or Kelford. All great cams and will work well with anything from a stock sized turbo up to a 35r.
