i got rid of my jl woofer and got this instead.

cleared up the trunk and stackeed the amps up so i can have stuff to put dead bodies in.

moved tha battery to teh back and i now haz shit tons of room in the engine bay.

its my new stereo set up.

i got rid of the woofer and put 2 free air 8" woofers on the back seat frame.

i haz all teh trunk space and all the back seat too.

its pioneer subs that can be free-aird.

kicker also has free air subs and they even have 6.5" subs.
charlie haz them on his car. and i had to step up and get these 8"s :P

Just watch out for these plat piston Pioneers, it is really easy to burn them up even in the box. Free air.... just don't push them too much. I've seen so many of these burned in ash.
On my car I am gonna use MB quart add on woofers in rear deck to run them in low pass, that will be nice but not too loud. But first I have to find money to buy some equipment :))

im not pushing too much.

just with the jl 250/1 amp.

its just idling when i crank it up and its plenty loud since its exposed to the interior.

i have warranty also so when it does blow i can just replace. :P

I have never run an infinite baffle setup(free air). How is the bass response? Do they hit decently? Also, how hard is it to swap out the factory SSL setup for a better amp and sub? Free air seems like a good idea considering weight.

its easy all you need is some $$ and you can take it to local stereo shop and get it done w/o you ever touching the car... power of $$

lol

the response is super quick. its just like if i had gotten the reg. speaker but with more bass.

they hit enough to let you know that you have a sub. it wont hit low notes like the 15"s but for what i listen to i can hear every note in the song.

it uses my trunk as the box so its got surprisingly lot of bass for some reg speaker like subs.
