Last weekend, there was a silver evo, that passed by a friend of mine, playing around with two bikes. I think he/she passed one of the bikes (750cc). A guy on the blue bike works with me. Just wanted to see if you post here

Well, I guess the car is quite impressive. Are you wingless? My friend said Lancer and I said "no, had to have been an Evo" lol

There is a friend of mine in the Clemson area that has a 2.3L stroker with a gt35r. Its sliver and wingless with some gun metal Advans ( I believe they are Advans). It gets down and he likes messin with bikes.

How is the track Evo coming along? Did you downsize your turbo like everyone else. The Evo Red seems to be the turbo to go with.

Good question. But FP red turbo is still laggy. If it will be possible to run fp green with around 400whp on dynodynamics it will be perfect.
But from other side 2.2l stroker with Fp Red can be interesting way to go.
If I could have enough money to build 2.2L I will do that. :)
Like HKS car 2.2L stroker with 2340 turbo or something like this newer remember turbo numbers from HKS. 560hp flywheel just where it should be.
And almost no lag at all.

I don't recall seeing any results that show the FP Red being "that" laggy.
HKS? Thats doing things the expensive way, but hey, it's your money.
Cheapest way is a 4G64 2.4L block. Lots of torque and with a medium/small size turbo you won't need to worry about turbo lag. The 4G64 motors are easily obtained and relatively cheap, longer rod ratio, and lower piston speeds. Kinda hard to argue with that.

Everybody have their way so I am not going to argue, it was just an opinion.
Compare to stock turbo Red will be laggy. And I am talking about driving on the street not drag racing. For drag racing Red is just fine.
I am looking for high revving engine with max power and driveability. Not just one purpose build car. That's something different.
Just don't get me wrong I am not here to argue. It's just the way I will build it if I will have money to do that.

Exactly how high would you plan on taching out a 2.2L motor?

Its coming along pretty well. Its put back together now, wide body front but not the rear. I need to do the rear but dont really have the money to do it right now. Ive dumped way too much money into this car already this year. I havnt downsized the turbo yet. It actually is not too bad how it sits, Im in boost pretty much the entire way around any track and it spools up reasonably, not great, but acceptable right now. I have thought about going with a HTA35 but probably wont any time soon. Ive been running 533 whp @ 27psi dynamics most of this year and it seems to be a descent setup. Ill be turning the boost up a bit for next year since we added the aero package. Im also trying to lose some weight out of this heavy pig. It sits at 3060lbs and I would like to get it down to 2800 then add a cage making it 2900-2950 or so.
Are you still trying to sell yours or did you take it down?

I took mine down, but for the right price you never know. I have too much money in it and I would take a big hit by selling it. I added it up the other day and just what I could remember being on the car right now, I have over $40K in mods. That doesn't include all the motor builds, tranny builds, swapping parts, labor, etc... I've spent a college fund or two on this car.
I got mine down to 2,880 lbs with no interior and I still have A/C and P/S. If you drop the A/C, P/S, and go with Lexan window you can save a good bit more. Carbon fiber doors can drop a decent amount also.
Basically, you can get it down to around 2,600 lbs or less if you butcher the car. It's a lot of cutting and chopping though.
I like to drive mine on the street still so the interior is back in mine.

I know what you mean man. It makes me sick to add up all the money I have spend on mods/install, etc. It would kill me to sell it because I would lose an unbelieveable amount of money.
I am trying to do 2800 with full interior, which sounds like a longshot. I plan to do fiberglass doors, which weigh less than the carbon ones. Carbon roof and I still have all the sound deadening to remove aswell. Ill most likely do those things and weigh it again to see how much more I need to do. Im thinking that will get me down to around 2875 or so, which would still leave a good amount of work :( I still have a DD, so Im not worried about making it too unstreetable.

I''m just happy to have mine still sitting in the driveway. After I graduate, I plan to continue the mod path. Mine will always be a street car, but I am trying to decide what turbo/suspension setup to go with.
