I took my car to the track this past weekend with Forged Performance. Robert Fuller (Robispec) went with us to setup a G35 with Forged. I entered my car in the time attack event and Robi drove it. It put some very impressive times down considering my setup. We got to talking and he is going to sponsor my car. I will explain the details tomorow, its late and I havnt had much time to get on the forums lately because of the wedding coming up. Ill explain more tomorow, just thought you guys would want to know the good news!

Ok, as stated earlier I will explain more of the details. My car on the track was running street tires, street brakes, almost stock suspension, and full interior. Robi was able to knock off an amazing 1:09.5 at Nashville Superspeedway at the roadcoarse there. As a comparison, this was faster than all of the cars in the street class and almost all of the cars in the modified class. The modified class cars were running built suspensions, race brakes, race tires, and stripped out intriors. We were running faster than 90% of those cars. Oh, almost forgot, we detuned the car and were only running at 20psi :D The car has so much more left in it. We will be running at Summit Point in 3 weeks and the car will have Brembo GT 6/4 big brakes with race pads, RobiSpec competition race coilovers, upgraded bushings, and we will be capable of running anywhere up to 42psi, although we will probably leave it at 28ish just because we dont want that much power on the track. Im really excited about this and cant wait to see what the car does there. Now if only I can get a tire sponsorship...

Agreed on that last part. What happens if he has an off track excursion BTW? Do you have to cover it or does he? Not doubting his abilites at all, but I want to make sure your covered.

I will be driving it for some of the practice sessions. I can drive the T/A session if I choose, but he is so much faster than me that I prefer he drives anyways. I want the car to win, and hopefully in the meantime I will progress into a more experienced track driver. As far as your question goes Tripp, Im not really sure...

Congrats on the sponsorship, sounds awesome. However... having someone else driving my car hard anywhere just isn't my cup of tea... hopefully you'll become good enough to have a bunch of your own road course times under your belt. Good luck.

Congratulations Ryan! I knew it would be a matter of time before you went full track car. I don't doubt Robi's capabilities in a beast such as yours. Let me know when you are featured in your 1st of many mags...so I can buy every issue, lol!
