Forgive my newbie question but what is the purpose of the dump tube?

it divides the exhaust gases between the downpipe exiting the hotside from the air being dumped from the wastegate opening up....

conventionally the wastegate gases and gases going through the turbine on the hotside are exited through the same passage which in return goes through the downpipe. once the wastegate opens up this gas can cause pressure on the gases exiting the turbine wheel resulting in boost taper and poor spool...

with this piece which you usually dont see on internal wastegate setups the air being wasted doesent interfere with the exhuast gases from the hotside......which means nothing is interrupting the exhaust gases creating boost.....which for me means no boost taper and improved spool up time....

its kinda hard for me to type this, i can answer more in detail when we meet up......

Oh and BTW its extremely loud on WOT and i love it......LOL

Props for trying a new product and getting your hands dirty to put it on yourself. If it does what they claim, the price is a steal.

Sounds great! I've been waiting for these to come out for such a long time after seeing their popularity in the DSM market. There was that huge forum on EvoM about dump tubes, and one poster made an excellent diagram of their usage.

I held out and didn't get a O2 housing for this very reason. O2 dumps are more efficient and will make more power. It's physics.
