... Now officially owns my soul... I bought it on Thursday and I've already got 16 hours logged on it. It's an extremely expansive game. To put everything in perspective I beat the 1st MGS on PS1 when I was sick in middle school in under 6 hours. The 2nd one on PS2 I beat around 7 hours and same goes for the 3rd. The 4th one I'm 16 hours in and probably only 1/3 to 1/2 way through. The story telling and CG cutscenes are beautifully done, if not a little long at times, but help move the story along extremely well and help those who haven't played MGS 1-3 yet. Although I couldn't imagine playing MGS4 (the final chapter :() without having played the other 3 and not be confused. Theres a lot going on and Hideo Kojima (director) did a great job of spreading it out over the series. If action games are your thing and you've played the other MGS's check it out... Now if you'll excuse me I have to go back and take care of Liquid Ocelot :D

I beat the first one on the PS. I haven't played the series since, but I do like it a lot. I have a 360 though. I did get Ninja Gaiden II on release day, and it took me a couple of days to beat it. By far, one of the hardest games I've ever played-even on easy! Well worth it though.

I want to get it and may at the end of the month. I still haven't beat the 1st one though... :( I got to the end and then for some reason the data on my 360 for Ninja Gaiden got corrupted. I'd love to see NG II on my Mitsu. 1080p TV :P

Tripp, that's strange 'cause my old saved data from the first NG did the same thing on my 360.

Hmmm... I may have to do some searching and see if this is a problem. Do you have a 1st release 360? I bought mine the day they came out (13 hours in line at Wal-Mart)

I had a first release unit too, but I had it warrantied for the RLOD. However, the hard drive is still the same one.

I guess you've played the 1st 3? I think I'm almost done with the game though... :(

Brett I too have had to get mine replaced... Twice now, but I still ended up with a 1st release model (no HDMI port in the back).

Not yet. I haven't even gotten my PS3 set up to go online yet. I'm in the middle of switching ISP's, so I'll try when I get my new service set up.

I just beat the game today BTW. GREAT ENDING!!!
