Any practical recommendations here?
Heard Performance Friction, pads worked well. Need an upgrade that won't fade as easily as the stock pads on the stock IX MR rotor.
Want a relatively quiet, dust free pad. Have Brembo slotted with pagid street performance pads on my wife's BMW . The car stops just as quick as my hell of a lot lighter MR...the pagid pads just feel rough and are pretty noisy too.

Forodo DS2500's no contest hands down. Best street pads on the market. I beat the hell out of the pads for over a year, 15xxx miles on them and still have 2/3 life left on them. They are quiet, less dust or same as stock. They stop much better than any other pad I have tried. I think Brett and Tripp can back me up on this as they have both driven my car when I had the Green setup and they both noticed the brakes.

The Ferodos are great pads, but need to be heated up to get the full potential of them. I've personally been reading a lot of reviews on the new Girodisc pads. You can get a full set of them through Girodisc on EvoM for 150 shipped and they come with shims. So far they are superior to stock and much MUCH quieter than stock or any other aftermarket pads out there. I'm pretty set on these.

I've really enjoyed my EBC Yellow Stuff pads. Great initial bite, and I've been pretty hard on them lately from all the logging I've done. I eventually want to get the AMS brake cooling ducts for longer life and less chance of brake fade as soon as I start to hit the track.

I think you are referring to the DS3000's. The DS2500's do not need to be heated up at all.

Thanks Gents! Wanna make the change before heading to the hills. Any suggestions to a good , reliable vendor?

Do you have to reuse the old shims? My Hawk HPS pads were made like their "replacement shim" was made onto the backplate of the pad instead of being a separate piece.

Btw, I love Ryan's Ferrodos, but they were too "baller" for me at the time. They probably stop better than any pad I've seen. I went with a full set of Hawk HPS pads instead. They are very good, but nowhere near as good as the Ferrodos.

How's the noise with the Hawk pads?

The Hawk HPs pads have minimal noise. Some squeal every once in a while. Very tolerable though. I like them as a great street upgrade from the stockers.
