yeah i liked it...its uh not stock, stock turbo but its mod'd. it really needs a good tune, needs a new front lip but its got a new motor, new tranny, and a new clutch and its a SSL car. im most likely gonna have the guy tune the car before i get it but i wanna be there to watch the tuning, does anybody know a shop thats open on saturdays that has a tuner that can tune AEM well?

Topspeed is the only shop that I know that tunes the AEM. I think Dyno4mance can too and I think they'd be the better bet. You know that with the AEM you can't pass emissions if your in an emissions county right?

Bruce@Dyno4mance is a great tuner and should do an exceptional job. Thats probably who I would have do it. I just dont like the quality of work done at TopSpeed.

ive been there and done that. my SRT4 i had made 410fwhp and i have been doing this car thing for a loooong time and have come to realize u gotta know when to say stop....it gets to the point where it gets waaaay too expensive to make power and things start to break, and ur car no longer is a "street" car.

stock turbo IX with cams making 380whp on AEM with such a wide power band is pretty much the perfect car in my eyes, u will not to run into many cars that will walk u from a light, great powerband and itll do great on the strip or twisty track.

Agreed. The fastest car I've driven was I believe 430 HP. I actually enjoy my slower Evo more. The Evo has a lot of "life" to it if you know what I mean.

thats what im saying...ur gonna spend how much to get how much more whp? when u get to a certain level where u have to use triple carbon clutchs, crazy ignition and fuel systems along with building parts things get very expensive very fast. now if u got it like that more power to u! but me i know whats best for me and my situation is a max'd out stock turbo IX...plus i like road course racing as well and u need a good powerband for that type of motorsports.

well AEM is a very nice addition to even a stock car. tune is the most important thing on a car and the AEM will make sure my car has a good one. but ur right on stock turbo a flash would have done the job but hey whatever...ill take it :)

I know that the evo has the immobolizer and is coded, but is it possible to get a stock ecu and have the dealer sync it to your car. You could then trade the aem plus cash to someone and make some ends!

Not sure with that, but to be honest the AEM has a better "immobolizer" with it. You can just unplug it and take it with you whenever you leave your car lol. My friend used to do that with his.

thats a big point on me buying THAT car...i like the fact it has one of the best engine management systems ever made already on it

Ah well...it happens like that sometimes. However, in an Evo, you'd be pulling 13's with a crappy run. Food for thought.
