Im looking for a drift project to do after i move and get settled in and im wanting some opinions. Right now, depending on how much money i may be getting, im looking at an RX-7 (FD3S or FC3S), another 240sx, a 350z, an S2000, a Miata, and finally something alot of people dont do is a 1992-1995 Lexus SC300 with a 1JZ-GTE. Let me know what ya'll think!

They all would make great drift cars. I personally would love to have an S2000 with some serious power. They make hot ass drift cars given the right mods. Although, you couldn't go wrong with any of the cars listed. I will always have a thing for the RX-7 too.

Unless you have tons of money you'll never be able to drift an S2000 properly. The car was made to handle perfectly. The only decent drift cars have have a complete suspension overhaul.

I like the RX-7 aswell, just keep in mind that the maintenance on those cars sucks. That rotary is not what you would call reliable. Either way, as it would be a project car, you may not mind this.

Drop a corvette LS7 in it...

Perfectly? Ha!
Dude, the back end on that car has boundaries.

With cold tires you are correct... you ever get to track yours?
The grip is amazing. Hopefully we'll do some group track days and you'll see!

Thanks for the input so far. Im fully aware of the S2K's solid rear end. Having seen the best and worst of it. i.e. a guy at the last amateur drift event not even being able to swing it out at all and then my friend sliding his into a parked semi truck its sorta at the end of my list due to how much is needed to make it drift. Im leaning more torward the SC300 and 2nd gen RX-7 because of cost and reliability reasons (some reason the turbo II motors were more reliable than the TT motors). Also they make badass aston martin conversion kits for the SC 300! :supz:

I say an FC RX-7, I like the FD's too much to see them become drift cars.
