I called my wife up to show her that my car has been immortalized now thanks to Rob.

You also convinced me to buy the ETC UICP. I'm just waiting on some returned PMs from Tom at ETS as I had some questions that needed clearing up.

I was really disappointed with my dyno numbers. I was hoping for at least 250whp but only achieved 219whp. It's really making me rethink not putting in cams. I decided on new UICP piping after seeing the severe expansion during the dyno runs. I really had no idea that the stock piping expanded that much during high boost.

Thanks Ryan. Dylan was saying that their dyno reads 10% lower than others so if I am interpretting that correctly that means instead of the normal 20% parasitic loss you would take into account it would be 30%. That would mean about 313hp for my dyno run.

lol at 98hp. My friend Yaris made 98FWHP with a Blitz Axel back, intake, and header. This was on a dynojet too, so that primer-encrusted car actually made more HP than his... I just thought that was funny.

lol, well you missed the Talon that dynoed in at 86whp, lol. Dan, yes it USUALLY reads 10 percent lower, but Im pretty sure it was reading even lower than that yesterday. As mentioned above, I found it unusual that a car that dynoed at 242 on Forged's dyno several weeks ago only put down 216 with the same mods, that doesnt make sense to me. I dont believe temp and humidity can change 26whp of a car when conditions were similar. Just my 2 cents.

So what would account for it reading so low? On a side note, I know that adding an aftermarket UICP has negligible gains but after seeing how much that OEM pipe expands under boost it makes me wonder if I have a boost leak under those conditions.

Im not sure why it would be reading so low to be honest. I dont think you should look at upgrading the UICP merely for hp gains. I upgraded mine because I believed it would provide more consistancy as far as air flow goes. The aftermarket ones wont expand like the oem unit and the larger uicp's allow more airflow which may not make a big deal on lightly modded cars but has actually proven to pick up gains on heavily moded cars. Oh, and I dont know if you have a boost leak or not, but I would doubt the uicp would be causing one. Which dv do you have?

just do a boost leak test......if no local shops have one you can make one yourself. i made mine and just connect air compressor to it and fill it up and if there is a leak you will hear and see it hopefully.......
