*****2009 is here and so is Ed Voyles to support evoatlanta*****
*****updated Jan 21st, 2009*****
Ed Voyles still employs all of our Mitsubishi triple diamond technicians and we still have all of mitsubishi special tools and our Medic. We may not be selling new mitsu's or doing warranty work but we still collectively can service, diagnosis, repair and upgrade your evo.
2009 discounts for evo owners.
$30 mobil 1 oil and filter changes
rear diff, transfer case & transmission fluid service using Mitsubishi fluid.
$169.50 out the door.
Timing belt special $440.00 out the door!! includes new mitsubishi timing belt AND balance shaft belt. water pump is an additional $228.50 for 03-early 05 evo's and an additional $260.50 for late 05-06 evo's. (mitsu changed the waterpump)
$75.00 check engine light diagnostic
15% off any other service or repair not listed above.
**old info below**
updated June 23rd. The Ed Voyles Automotive Group announced that June 30th we will no longer be a Mitsubishi dealership. This means 3 things to you guys.
1st. We won't sell any more "new" mitsubishi's. (the factory is picking up our remaining stock along with all the 10's)
2nd. We won't be able to do any warranty work starting July 1st.
3rd. We won't be able to look up every single oem part and sell them at wholesale like we have been.
The reason for this is Mitsubishi as a whole is NOT selling enough cars to supply the pipeline for the parts, service and bodyshop business. Our business here at Ed Voyles has been steadily declining and upper management didn't see a very promising future with the franchise not to mention we were one of the highest selling dealers with less than 15-20 units per month. Hard to make a living selling fewer than 20 cars per month for the entire dealership!
In my opinion Mitsubishi needs to spend some money to create a natural demand for their product in North America if they want to survive. They have no gas hogs but yet they don't even capitalize(market/advertise) on the opportunity to sell "fuel efficient" cars? go figure. They use to sell 35,000 units per month several years ago and now they are selling less than 7,000 per month nationwide.
The writing was on the wall but it was just a matter of time unfortunately.
THE GOOD NEWS!!!!
1. None of my mitsubishi techs or special tools are going anywhere so we can still service your evo's.
2. I will still honor all my pricing to you for the services below except for over the counter (wholesale). We have to buy our mitsubishi parts from someone else now. The new pricing would be wholesale + 10%
Met some of you guys March 22nd out at the meet. We work on all evo's modified or not and we do not void your warranty! If you bring us your parts we will put them on for you as well. Genuine Mitsubishi parts sold here carry a 12 month warranty. If we install it the labor is 12 months or 12k miles whichever comes first. We have 5 Mitsu techs with over 50 yrs of Mitsubishi experience. Ed Voyles also has a top notch bodyshop right behind our service department that does phenomenal work and will warranty any paintwork they do for life.
We are the largest Mitsubishi service department in the state and we have no intentions of moving or selling our franchise.
Here are some deals I've put together for all of you. If you call into the store and don't speak to me you must mention that you are an evo atlanta club member to get these prices

All I can say is WOW. The part that really grabs me is they are willing to work on modified Evos and not void your warranty. I was going to wait until I got back to Tennessee before taking my car in for an annoying door lock that won't work, but after listening to Matt on Saturday and reading his post I will have to schedule an appointment with them. I am a firm believer in customer service. It's one of the criterion that will keep me as a repeat customer. If you take care of the customer the customer will take care of you.

FYI, until I can get back in town again to do some details Ed Voyles has an EXCELLENT detail department. Just ask for Brendan and he'll help you out. Hes the one that taught me how to detail and you can ask Ryan just how good I am :D lol

they warrantied my wing, and the paint seems pretty amazing. very much the same color.
Matt@edvoylesmitsu
03-25-2008, 09:29 AM
I would rate the bodyshop quality and ability to color match very very good. I have to photograph any warranty paint issues and get an approval from Mitsu so I have seen all the paintwork they have done in the last 2 1/2 years and they do a geat job. You wont be disappointed.

I really hate ya'll... The dealership in Reno won't do a damn thing for me... Even my spoiler and that has nothing to do with the mods I have. I can see them trying to give me an excuse of how my mods made my car go into warp speed and made the clear coat peel off...

alg626
03-27-2008, 04:19 PM
Idle Control Motor, lets your car idle, just sitting still the trottle body is closed so this think pumps air into the intake manifold to keep the car running, i had to adjust my TB until i got the IDC replaced.

If you guys havnt gone to Ed Voyles you need to start going. I went there yesterday with quite a challenging problem with the Evo VII Valve cover and gromet. After talking with Matt for a few minutes we called a few other people into the room. Before I knew it we had half the techs huddled around us trying to figure out how to make it work. I think we got it figured out. lol, it was quite a challenge.
Matt, I took the valve cover and gromet over to Forged and Sharif sent everything over to their machine shop. They are just going to have a custom gromet made so it fits nice and snug. Im still going to try and get the part number for you, but I think this will be easier and faster. Thanks again for your help, and thank your staff for me aswell. ;)

Not trying to steal business from Matt, but if you go down to Lexus and talk to some of the services guys there they have a wheel repair guy that comes out and fixes all the curbed wheels on their trade ins. Its normally around 50-100 bucks a wheel to get it fixed.

Really? I'm all about saving some money. If I had a choice between paying $100 to fix a wheel or pay over $300 for a new wheel the choice seems pretty obvious to me. I'll give Lexus a call on Monday. I hope they can fix it though because there is roughly a 3/4" chunk missing out of the lip of the rim. I didn't realize these rims were that flimsy.

Hey Chemwarrior,
the wheel new is $522 at wholsale but I would try "Metro Wheels" off south cobb drive before I got a new one. I don't mind selling a new one but I would exhaust fixing it before replacing it.

Curious about this as well. I may send Ryan the money and have him mail them out to me if the price is good enough to offset shipping and such, so could you send me the price we get them for as well as the retail price (someone coming off the street price).

Are these applied with double-sided tape or do they affix to the window track?

if they are the same as mine, which are mitsu, they have three clips evenly spread out and dbl sided sticky at all contact points. very easy to install and fitment is perfect.

I liked yours when I saw them. I had them on my previous car and they added a degree of aesthetics and of course functionality.

I was at Ed Voyles yesterday having my door lock looked at. They were very quick and efficient. I shot the breeze a little bit with Matt and Brett as well. They are nice guys. It appeared the cause of my door lock problem was a disconnected plug that was most likely caused when Forged Performance installed my wideband, unfortunately it costed me $75, but c'est la vie. I wouldn't hestitate to go back to Ed Voyles for any of my car needs.
On a side note, Matt I have a business proposition for you.

Why would you pay $80 for an oil change when the filter cost ~$8 and the oil cost ~$25 from Wal-Mart. Do you not have the means to change the oil yourself?

That sucks Matt. 1st Subaru and now Mitsu. Mitsu as a whole really does need to get off their ass and get some better marketing. As far as I know Mitsu Japan does great as they have more cars they offer (Mitsubishi "i" for one) that get great gas mileage.

If any of you have a potential warranty concern MONDAY is the day for you to come down to my service department. Like I said at the beginning of this thread we can still do any repair/maintenance you want and still get Mitsu OEM parts to do it we just won't be able to do the warranty after June 30th!!!
Thanks!!!

It must have been Evo day at Ed Voyles yesterday. I went to get my $10 oil change, yeah right, and saw Alex there. His car is sharp as always. We shot the shit for a little bit. I then saw another Apex Silver Evo with the small tail lip pull up and then leave shortly thereafter. If you go there for the $10 oil change be prepared to pay ~$20. I asked the lady at the cashier's booth why it was double what the special said and she gave me some bull about labor. Granted I was still saving money but I was just a little shocked when the bill came to double to what I was expecting. I'm still thankful that Ed Voyles "Hyundai" still services our cars and that they have a bunch of great guys there.

If you haven't been by in awhile and haven't seen my updated thread then don't be shocked when you come to our store and don't see the triple diamonds on the building. We are now Ed Voyles KIA. I still have all my mitsubishi technicians, parts personnel and service advisors. We are still offering mitsubishi service to you guys because that was the commitment I made to you guys earlier this year. See the start of this thread for updates on the services and pricing. We can still get Mitsu OEM parts and we still have our specials tools and the "medic" for diagnosis. Don't hesitate to call or PM me with a question.
also too if you need your car repaired and it's undrivable I'll pay to tow it here with the guys at Marietta Wrecker.

The $30 mobil one oil change is the out the door price. You have to let Jim or Brett know when you 1st come in to make sure you get your "evoatlanta" pricing. Even better just print out my specials from this forum and bring it with you so there's no confusion. We don't offer everyone these specials. Just you guys!
