Ok guys, as you know our forum has been somewhat inactive. Yes, people post everyday, and yes a handful of us are very active. However, when compared to any other forum, we appear to be dead. Its become obvious to me that some changes need to be made around here. Its very frustrating to see how many new members come here and then just leave because they see that its inactive. For those new members that read this, I encourage you to stick around and help to make this forum into something great. I personally think it would be awesome to have an active forum that basically runs itself. I would love to have a couple hundred active Evo owners on these boards. However, in order for this to happen, we all need to step up, help to make this an active place, and most importantly stick around and participate. The changes that I would like to make are in my opinion going to help keep these boards active. Please feel free to ask me any questions regarding what I ask of you guys.

First off, please keep the threads on topic. Its frustrating and annoying to the OP when the thead starts off like "Im about to upgrade my brakes, what do you guys recommend I use" and then the response is something like this "use hawk pads, hey did you guys see that fight on tonight? that guy got destroyed, what are you guys doing this weekend" If you want to talk about random stuff please post it in the off topic section, its there for a reason. Please Please Please keep the threads on topic.

Second, I would like our long term members, you know who you are, to start creating at least 1 thread per day. Not 1 post, 1 new thread. Please dont create random crap, make the thread about something important that the other members will benefit from and be able to interact with. If you see a section has not had a new thread in it for quite some time, please try and make a thread in that section. This is a temporary solution that will take some effort from all of us, but I believe it will help to spur some growth in our forum.

Third, in addition to creating 1 thread per day, I would like all active members whether your new or older to respond to as many of the threads as you can everyday with a reasonable response. Please keep the filler posts to a minimum, I hate seeing post such as "I would go with the Forodo 2500 pads, theyre a great value and quality" with a response of "I agree" or "what he said^"

Last, if you are a new member please dont leave because you think these boards are inactive. We are a growing community and it will grow much faster and become much more fun if everyone sticks around. It may be hard and/or boring the first few weeks but if everyone participates then it will grow quickly. Please feel free to create your own threads and participate in other threads as much as you feel comfortable to. We are glad that you guys are here and want you to stick around.

This is a great opportunity for everyone to meet eachother through posts on the boards and through get togethers that we will start having about every week or so. This can really become a great community. Hope to see everyone becoming more active.

Ryan

If it'd be of some help I'll work on a how-to detail your Evo thread. It'll be a work in progess and probably take me a few days to do, but ill include some good products and websites to buy stuff from. Along with some detailing forums to learn more than what I may be able to tell you as I'm learning a bit myself too.

mpo, i think any and all threads that are put up would benifit greatly, even if we thought we knew something about something, having someone else's opinion and advice would be greatly appreciated. at least by me. 8) just to read another person's views could share alot of insite that could help somone out. even simple threads.... the more that is handy, the more knowledge that is curculating between us all. informed members are happy members. **note** we could specify me and in no means is meant to insult or bash anyone else. i would enjoy reading your secrets. the pictures posted of the cars you have previously detailed look great.

I'm a full time college student with no job and I drive an Evo and live in an apt. with my GF :D lol.

Regardless ill start the detailing thread tomorrow. Everyone sees these cars as strictly performance, some for show and some for both. Regardless I think its important that everyone take care of their cars and wash them properly (yes there is a proper and improper way). Along with that i'll be posting lots of pics following my build :D

Let's have a sleepover! I can bake cupcakes and we'll tell ghost stories!

On a side note, please refer to This Thread (http://evoatlanta.com/forums/showthread.php?t=410) to view my ideas on what to do.

You guys need to get some vendors lined up.

You also need to have a meet that people come to regardless of how many people on the forum say they can make it.

Wait on T Shirts and building a treasurary.

You also need to make this site more a knowledge base about EVO's. Links to other sources work fine, but someone needs to take the time. click here for an example. (http://www.s2katlanta.com/forum/showthread.php?t=909)

The meet is the hard part walter, we have tried to hold meets regardless of how many people say they will come and it usually ends up being me and 1 or 2 others. Its easy to do that if your a larger forum, but for a small forum that doesnt work. The other ideas are good.
