As some of you know i'm buying this turbo, but I was wondering if anyone can tell me the difference between the two. They seem the same, but the people running the Buschur seem to make more power than the FP Green from Forced Performance. I'm actually wanting to go with the FP Green as I'm not a big fan of Buschurs, but if the performance gain is better with the Buschur than i'll go with that.

Exact same turbo, the Buschur one is just used with their set of mods. I spoke Buschur personally about this. I got mine from Buschur, theyre a pain in the ass and put it this way. Im doing a major build and going through AMS and staying as far from Buschur as I can, let that be a lesson to you. Dont get me wrong, Buschurs products are not bad, but in my personal experience, their customer service sucks ass... On the other hand, Ive heard many people complain about FP's customer service too, so if I had to do it all over again I would get it through AMS, who carries them. They get them through FP, but FP is more ontop of things when AMS calls them than they are when you call them, just my 2cents.

Sweet. I didn't know AMS sold the FP Green. Ill check their prices and probably buy it through them. I'm also looking at wait times too. Jrod at Buschur said a month, but I remember when you were getting yours and they said 2 weeks or something like that... lol

ya, and 14 weeks later they seemed surprised that I was upset... I didnt know there was still such a long wait for that turbo. You may try looking through the FS section to see if there is one for sale. I wish I had known you were going to buy it for sure, I woudl have held mine for you :(

lol Its fine man. I didn't know 100% for sure either. With something that big I wouldn't expect you to hold it anyways unless I had the check in the mail.

Well I e-mailed/PM'd all the shops that carry the Green and they all have a month to 6 week wait. I'd rather order it from FP cause if they say a month to 6 weeks than they mean a month to 6 weeks. I'll be ordering it as soon as I get back from GA.

Cool man, good luck with that. I hope your wait isnt similar to mine. I heard that FP distributes their first batches to the major shops who order from them before the customers that have them on order through FP, but I dont know how much truth there is to that.

If thats the case I'll go through AMS, but AMS actually told me to go through FP. Thats the reason why I wanted to go through FP.

I never said not to go with FP, Im just telling you what I have heard. I dont want to tell you to do one thing and have it not work out. If AMS told you to go through FP then maybe you should... Im just confusing myself now, lol.

Does the porting make a major difference? I thought they just ported the opening on the turbo? The reason I ask is because I found a place that has them in stock, but they only options they have for them in stock is the unported with the FP high boost actuator (a must for me). If it makes a huge difference than I'll wait until FP makes them. If not I'll go ahead and order my turbo :D
Also FP is making an HTA version of the Green and FP confirmed this through an email to me. No word on when the HTA wheel will be developed. I was thinking of waiting for it if it was just going to be a month or so, but they said they're not sure when it will be done.

The porting really doesnt make that big of a difference, besides you could honestly have a local shop do it if it was that important to you. I promise the HTA version will be no sooner than 2 months, and thats being optomistic. I was told they would be done with the testing on the HTA 37R in 1-2 weeks, I doubt it will be done in 4 to be honest. FP's estimates on releases are nothing short of laughable.
