Hey guys, things are about to change quite a bit for me. Me and Jenny just got engaged, so I'll be getting married before too long. This shouldnt have a huge bearing on my modifying the car though. She has always been very supportive of me modding the Evo! Just thought some of you guys would want to know!

Holy crap! Congrats brother! I'm probably about to be taking the plunge, so to speak, with Sam, but we won't be getting married until I'm out of school. Let us know when the wedding is and I'll work out trying to come out for the wedding!

Only thing that sucks is I won't be able to have my Evo there... Ryan if you and Jenny have a limo ill be happy to drive your Evo for you :D

congrats bro! I remember a thread on EvoM about the couple who both owned Evo's...it was the nicest wedding I've seen LOL. About 20 Evo's showed up...

Don't worry Ryan. We won't get carried away with decorating the Evo. I have been there and done that. I had packing peanuts all in the interior, paint all over the windows, bottles of wedding bubbles poured over my windshield(cold outside and it froze to the windows), etc...

Haha, I dont mind sharing. We have not set an official date quite yet. Jenny and her mom are planning everything. They are shooting for August which is really quick, if for some reason they cant get that worked out it will be sometime near the end of December. It will probably end up being a relatively small wedding (100-125) but dont worry, most of you are invited ;)
I actually proposed out in San Antonio, which is where her parents live. I decided to ask her dad first, always a nice gesture. We went down to a place called the River Walk, which is a really nice area with lots of restaurants and shops along each side of a small river. We walked down to one end of it where it is less commercialized. There is an island in the middle of the river where they hold several weddings each year. We walked over onto the island, told her lots of fluffy words, got down on one knee, said the magic words, and pulled out the rock. Works like a charm ;)
I dont really have any pictures at the moment. Jenny has a few, and Ill try and get them up over the next few days. I do have one picture of the ring. Its a colorless picture, but still gives you an idea of what it looks like ;) Its a nice sized rock that cost me a fortune, lol. Enjoy, hoped that helped some guys.

No kidding! Sams cheap! All she wants is a pink sapphire with diamond accents on it. She found one for around 500 a while back, but we're probably gonna have to have it custom made. I know River Walk well as my Dad used to live in SA. Great place to propose and I know the spot your talking about. My biggest fear is asking Sam's Dad... the guy already doesn't like me lol.

Don't worry Tripp. Sam's dad will see that you are what makes her happy. Sometimes it's hard for a parent to let go. It will be fine when the day comes, trust me.

Oh, and I wish I could have found a ring for $500... that would have been awesome, you cant imagine how much Jennys ring is appraised for...

Your right and thats the way I think of it. Also look at it this way. Diamonds usually go up. I bought my ex some cheap 1/8 carat diamond ear rings and when we broke up she told me she hocked em for 175 bucks. I paid 45 dollars for em lol.

lol! Thats hilarious, Diamonds are stupid expensive :( Diamonds keep their value very well and its usually hard to find them for cheap unless they are poor quality.

I really see no reason I won't be able to make it out with the exception of ticket costs. Sam is the master of finding cheap air fair. She found tickets to Atlanta 3 weeks after I bought mine for 200 dollars less and shes just coming out 2 days later... Hopefully she can find me something lol
