Bought me a Springfield XD-M .45 to stave off the zombies come this December. Got it for $200 under retail.

I was being facetious. Trust me; I believe in the end of the world this December due to the Mayan calendar like I believe a supernatural being looking down on us.

My best prediction is jersey... but if we just push the state of jersey away from the rest of the u.s. i think we'll be fine.

Nice. I had a black XD-45 and got a Nickel Plated XD-45 a few months ago. Wife wants a 3 inch XD-45 now. Recoil is smooth. She can shoot it pretty good.

I built my zombie killer from scratch for christmas with my dad since his health is failing quickly. How's the xd shoot compared to a glock? I'm considering getting one.

That's good to hear. I really didn't want the compact model but with the extended magazine it provides a nice grip. I plan on getting my 17 year old daughter to shoot some rounds through it.

I haven't shot any rounds through it yet. I plan on doing that this weekend in my backyard. I wouldn't mind getting an M-4 as well.

I shot 50 rounds through it today and zero issues. I was really impressed with the recoil for being a .45 cal. I even let me 17 year old daughter go through a magazine and she handled it quite nicely. I ordered some ammunition through cheaperthandirt.com for future use. This ammunition isn't nearly as inexpensive as 9mm ammo.

Thank you sir and I agree with your assessment. I bought my 12 gauge ammo through them and couldn't believe how cheap it was.
