Looks like the boards have slowed down a little so lets try to get something going. I havent participated in one before so I have no idea about location, travel distance, food, gas, planning, etc.

Any suggestions?

Blood mountain/ wolfpen gap is where I usually go. Barely an hour and a half up 400. It's best to head out there real early before there is a lot traffic on the roads.

depends on which loops you take usually just a couple hours, traffic will start to pick up law will start showing up too

So I've only been skeet shooting once and it was when I was about 10. Shotguns are definitely required, right? Mine isn't fully operational at this time - it'll shoot but the piston shock absorber is locking up after each shot so it fails to fully cycle.

Hey guys, I had a ton of fun tearing up those mountains today. To all of those that didn't show up, you all definitely missed out on a great time (We waited 45 minutes for you Killercd4g63, where were you man?). We had roughly 10 Evo's, an SS Camaro and a Lexus IS in our group. I would say the entire trip was approximately 65% run and 35% cruise, it was awesome! I believe we only saw one friendly trooper today and he gave us the nod while we drove past. Ryan even made friends with a very talkative dirt-biker at one of the scenic viewing areas!

Hats off to Ryan for guiding us on our run today, it was an exceptional run with fantastic views - except for the views of traffic in Helen.... :) Also, Darren, you are a mean cook! The burgers and hot dogs were great, thanks for grilling for us. It was nice meeting all of the new faces today and I look forward to seeing you guys again next time.

I'll post pictures from the run once I receive the pictures that my friend took earlier today. Should be within the next few days I would think.

Sounds like y'all had a blast. I'm having a bad misfire issue (Plugs on the way) and low fuel issue (Since last year when I had the duple pump installed) and I was moving this entire weekend.........

Oh man, my windshield resembles a constellation map now with bright shining stars (rock chips) all over the place. :) It was definitely worth it but damn people need to get some mud flaps - including myself! LOL, that should almost be a requirement to attend one of the mountain runs.

I'm really sorry I didn't let you guys know what was going on... I feel really bad that you guys waited for me.
A few guys broke into my house while I was sleepin Saturday night and I had to file a pig report :mad: so I didnt wake up till 9 in the mornin and it takes me 2 hours to get north of Atlanta. Sorry I dropped the ball on that one fellas. Sounds like y'all had a good time anyhow :). I'll be waiting on those pictures.
Won't happen again, I got some traps set up for the next goons that try to break in...

I actually just got a set of the rally armor mudflaps in the mail on Friday and put them on Saturday for this very reason. I really like em, plus they proove themselves useful driving where I live and to north Carolina last night.

Colder weather = more powah and less grip = adrenalin time
