I just wanted to give a quick shout out to Zen Motors for really going above and beyond with my recent clutch install. As some know my Exedy twin bit the farm with only 20,000 street miles on it (I WILL be taking that up with Exedy). I was getting locked out of 1st and reverse. Zen was doing my 50,000 mile fluid change (at a very reasonable price I might add) so I asked them to take a look at the lockout issue. They swapped slave and master cylinders with no effect and after pulling the clutch discovered the pressure plate was warped. Floater plates were warped. Discs were toast, and flywheel needed resurfacing! Needless to say I was pissed! I never track, drag, or autox the car nor do I sit in rush hour traffic and ride the clutch. After spending $2500 on clutch and install 2 years ago I have to purchase another clutch?! Bullshit! Anyway I ended up getting an ACT HDDS with Streelite flywheel as the parts to rebuild the Exedy were on back order. Plus I don't think I'll be messing with a twin disc again.
I just want to say that even though the diagnosis was the worst case scenario Jeremy and Dan delivered the bad news as gingerly as possible. They were there every step of the way with constant updates. Very professional attitudes. Worked real hard with me on price. And generally just gave some of the best customer service I've had from a shop in all my years of driving by treating me like a friend and human being!
In short, big ups to Dan, Jeremy, Tory, and the tech that did the install (forgot your name bud) cuz that clutch drives super smooth and crisp! I'll be bringing the car back next time I need something for sure!
I highly recommend Zen to everybody that needs work done. Very professional and straight up good peoples over there. They even got my friend's 92 Stealth running when others told him the car was a lost cause, including me :rolleyes:
