View Full Version : Might have to sell the Evo, already!
So, some very weird stuff went down at work today... It's to the point where I'm either going to have to quit or be fired. It's a long story, but just doesn't make sense and is seriously fucked up.
If I end up leaving this place, I'm going to have to take a job making less money or pursue my business full force. Either way, making less money initially. So, I may have to sell the house and the Evo as they are the 2 most expensive things I own right now... :(
Just not happy about any of it right now...

well that sucks :( i really hope you dont have to sell it.
 , hopefully everything will work out and you will keep your house and the evo. Let us know if you need anything dean. Sorry to hear it :/
Thanks guys...
I'm hoping everything will work out, but it probably won't. Who knows... I do know, however, I need to leave the place I work currently.
We may be able to get by if we get a roommate for our home at about 600 /mth or something like that and get rid of a lot of unnecessary items. I'm trying to figure it out. I'm thinking that my income might dip down into 45k or something... which is a drastic change.
We'll see what happens.

Software engineer... C++, C, Java on Linux. :)
I really want to get out of this field though and get back to something a little more simplistic. That is, unless I could find a place to work for that doesn't contain jack asses that expect me to work 80 hr weeks.

that is most certainly bad news. hope everything works out for ya. i went to school for comp networking engineer. i got certs in A+ and C+ and others but the market for these jobs arent too good in GA. thats why when i get out the army i may be moving to Chicago where lots of good jobs are for these fields. but anyways if ya need anything im sure i can speak for most of us, just let us know. im sure one of us can help........................keep ya head up

crap Dean, that sucks man, hope everything goes well, and i'll pray for ya man
Thanks man, I appreciate it.
Things may work out, but I've just had it with this place. Not matter what I do, I'm never right. I can prove myself over and over but instead of a "Yeah, you're right... sorry we jumped the gun and blamed you" I get a "Well, then... You have a communication problem." I'm doing my work on time or before time and I'm getting blamed for others not doing their work on time. It's all just messed up.
If I'm not fired, I'm going to leave... I'm trying to work out a budget to where I can keep the Evo, but it may have to go. Since I just bought it, I'd end up being upside down on it if I sold it right now I'd still owe money. However, the house would definitely have to be sold.
I'm just not cut out for this sitting in a cube and being expected to work 60 hour weeks as a norm and such... I mean, I'm getting bitched at because I only work 40 hour weeks.

It will work itself out one way or another, sometimes u just got to do things u don't wanna and can't do nothing but roll with the punches, just try not to over stress about the situation. easier said then done i know. :|

so.... what you decide to do?
so.... what you decide to do?
I met up with a couple of recruiters yesterday. I also got my butt in better gear as far as the Window tinting business goes. Got my business cards ordered, flyers made, shirts ordered, etc... I'm shopping for insurance right now so I can do a pick-up/drop-off service for people that don't have a garage for me to do mobile work in. I also called the yellow pages to start advertising. However, nobody has called me back. ha!
For right now, the Evo stays. If I do need to get rid of it, it won't happen until it needs to happen.
I do know this, however... I need to get the F out of this place I'm working for now. I'm getting pretty freakin' hostile over here due to knowing that everyone is a backstabbing pussy. I swear, I have confronted every person that was involved with me getting chewed out by my boss and they're all back peddling with their words. It's humorous. Maybe confronting everyone was the wrong thing to do, but, honestly... I just had to know why I'm being targeted when I always do my work within the time alloted.
Anyway, we'll see what happens...
For anyone here that knows people with a car (haha), let them know about Solar Comfort Window Tinting. 770-442-5549. I do cars, residential and commercial of course. I'm offering a 10% kickback to anyone that sends me a car or flat glass (homes or businesses).
I need some cars this weekend to do to pay for all the business expenses I've added up! haha
