TOPSPEED REVIEW

We recently had the privilege of installing AMS' new 750R Turbo kit on a 2008 EvoX. I just figured I would throw up a quick review on what we thought of the quality, install, and power we got out of this kit.

We chose the 750 kit because the customer wanted to retain the stock engine without having to build it right away. As we all know there is always a risk in upgrading to this extent on the factory internals, however the customer was aware of that and decided to keep the tune conservative. We have a full build planned for the car in the future.

Install:

As usual with AMS' product the install was very straight forward, and all the parts were included that we needed. As a shop that installs all different types of products on multiple lines of cars, its so nice to have everything in the box for you. With AMS you never have to go hunting for a bolt, plug, or even a zip tie you may need.

There are full directions on their website for any of the "do it yourselfers", and they are very well done, and would easily walk someone who is pretty competent with a wrench through the process.

Quality:

When it comes to build quality, fit and finish, and even packaging AMS has their stuff together. There is something to be said for hand made US product. The attention to detail, welds, brackets, all the way down to the heat shields are great. No complaints!

Tuning:

As you see by the graph below the kit made AWESOME power. We were honestly all very very surprised at how much power it made, how quick it came on, and how smooth it drove on the street. The only small complaint we had was the MAF location. It is welded right in the bend of the intake pipe. This makes for some issues with the MAF reading but only at low boost. As soon as you turn the boost up the voltage smooths right out.

Here are some pictures of the kit before install, as well as the dyno graph. Please feel free to ask any questions. I will be happy to answer anything I can.

**I am posting both SAE and STD corrected graphs. I will have pictures of the car for you guys tomorrow.

Thanks,

~Cicio
