New to the forum, but been in the evo scene for a while.

Hello everyone,


Hope youre all doing well! I grew up in the Atlanta area and I often go there and Charlotte, NC for work and to see my family (Yes with the evo at times). I have been into evos since I was about 14 when the Honda scene was huge, my dad introduced me to them at that age. I purchased a RR evo when I was 16 and it was stolen and gutted, just my luck!

I currently own a 2006 GG SE. I've had it for a few years and finally finished the build 8 months ago. It did not happen over night. I pieced it together little by little. My Evo is a complete sleeper and the money I have put into my car has been mainly into performance parts.
Many people think it is weird that a girl drives an evo, but it is more common than you think up North. Many girls these days are rolling in modified cars and I'm proud to say that I am one of them.

Where up north do you want to go? I live in Chicago, so I mean it is the only thing good about the Midwest. I'd honestly wait until the spring time. We get slammed with crazy snow storms and blizzards.

i don't know and don't really have target area. i don't have alot of time there, i'm stationed in germany but i'm comin home for 32 days on the 15th of this month to next month and i know nothing of the north, i've never went above n.c. stateside. i'm basically on a 32 day vacation with nothin but time to burn and miles to add to the Evo. :)

Where specifically is your car from? Its extremely diffcult to keep the car in good condition with the weather we get here, especially with salt and rocks. I have a lot of roadrash on my bumper and the tip of my hood!

I dont like putting my mods up on the forums because in Chicago we have a huge problem with Evos getting stolen and you just never know. In the last 3 months in the Chicagoland are there have been almost 20 evos stolen, but the same group of shady guys.

There have been a few posts on evom about cars getting stolen in Chicagoland at an alarming rate and they are alledging its the same crew. Sucks.

Do you live there full time or just go to school there?

Its funny I lived in Toronto Canada my whole life and just accepted that salt and winter was gonna beat the crap out of my car. Now, if I move back I HAVE to have something else to drive. My Evo will never see a wintery road (unless i get stuck in it). LOL.

Youre telling me. When my first evo was stolen I was really upset and I am pretty sure most of my parts were sold overseas. I worked really hard to pay for the car when I was in high school and someone stole it. not fun.

I highly doubt that. I think the next time I'll be in Atlanta is probably New Years Eve for two or three days. I've got a business trip to make and of course partying a bit for the holiday.
