I'm going to install my XM kit today. I feel like being constructive.

Anyone else running satellite radio? Which one and do you like it?

Has anyone ever put the little magnetic satellite antenna on the rear deck before? I was thinking that I wanted to keep the exterior as clean as possible(ie. not antenna stuck to the roof looking out of place).

Still? It was only drizzling downtown.

As for XM, Ive never considered wanting it until the later part of this year. I am still thinking about it too. Is your rear window tinted with a metallic film (ie non-ceramic)? It may impact reception some.

It has stopped drizzling now. I might try to go out and hook it up. I have had XM before and really liked it. Btw, my windows aren't tinted so i don't think that will affect the reception.

Just got it installed this afternoon. I ended up running the antenna on the front corner of the roof instead of routing it to the back. Works great!

What's your preferred station?

I'll let you know in a couple of days. It's been a while since I've had it. I used to really like ch.82-the system. Great "background music" for driving.

I know im late on this, but when I get in town (or you can post it on here) how much is XM monthly? The schools gym has it and I love the station they play. Alot of new rock and such :D.

Isnt it like $10 a month? I know its reasonable, esp. for someone that spends time in traffic.

I think it's around $12 a month. I think it is worth it though. It's the price of a new cd each month, and there's so much to listen to!

Now that I have had it hooked up for a little while...I've started thinking. I hardly ever get to drive except on the weekends. I am thinking about taking it out and canceling my membership. Seems like a waste of money if I don't get to use it. I'd rather listen to the engine anyway.

I ad a XM at one point and just never got enough use out of it. Its money that you will have to do something else. It all depends on how much use you get out of it and whether or not you think it is worth the monthly cost of it.

What kit do you have?

It's the XM Express kit. It is great, but I just don't use it enough.

I was thinking of using it, but my HU supports it so I dont need much.
