Like the title said today was my 1st day back snowboarding in two years also with using my own gear and not rental stuff. Ive never felt like ive ever done so well. The new board and bindings allow me to do smoother longer turns or turn as sharp as an Evo :D. Everything was going great until the last run of the day when i fell right on my face... I now have a fat ass lip...

Ill post pics later! :D lol

It does sound like a lot of fun though. There are a few things in life that I have to accept that I just can't do.

Snowboarding is one of 'em, lol.

Dont believe that at all man... You can do it! Or did your doc. say not to with your knee?

Had a blast at Sugar Mtn. It was the 1st time our boys were trying snowboarding. After a couple lessons they were on the advanced slope going for like 6 hrs straight. The wife wanted to ski so until next time.
Where did you go boarding?

I don't know. i just figured that it would be too hard on my knee. It is hard to kneel down without holding onto something.

Last time I went snowboarding I snapped a binding coming down the mountain. That 100% sucked.

But, glad you enjoyed yourself!

I actually live in Reno, NV now, so i get all the nice Tahoe slopes (Heavely, Squaw Valley, Mammoth Mtn, etc.). We've got a local resort called Mt. Rose (www.mtrose.com) and thats where i have a season pass to.

Glad your boys took to it quickly. When i was learning I was only able to to out for 5 hours a day and only 3 days at a time, so 15 hours a season isn't that much... It took me about 4 years of this to be able to turn effectively and not fall every time i go down the mtn. lol Like i said with new gear it makes it so much easier though compared to that crappy rental stuff.

If your knees hurts just bending down than i wouldn't try it Brett. You do a lot of kneeling and falling hurts... Especially like i did yesterday lol. Sorry i couldn't get any pics of my face up, but thankfully all the swelling went down before my GF got home from work!

Ya'll are all free to come out whenever ya'll get a chance. We currently only have a 1 bedroom apt, but we have a couch :D. Were also moving into a two bedroom two bath shortly.
