For the last year or so, we (zen motors) have been taking the majority of our cars to Topspeed for tuning. They have always treated us right, with respect, and with fairness. I can't explain all the little details, but at the end of the day, we love working with these guys and can only hope they stay in the game for a long time to come. Hopefully we can get some cars together that can compete against them in the future. That would just be billy bad ass fun!

To get into a little more detail, we recently took one of our cars up there for a baseline. This car was originally modded/tuned by another shop and due to certain issues, they brought it to us. We came up with a game plan to help the customer reach his power goals, but before we started adding parts, we wanted to see the baseline and the map that was in it.

This is where Topspeed comes into the picture. We took the car up to them and within a short wait, they had the car strapped on to the dyno and ready to go! We did a few pulls and to our surprise, the a/f's were mostly below 10.0 under full load. Yeah, i know... below 10.0 on at least 80% of the pull.

At this point, Doug and Cicio decided to help our customer out by offering him an incredible deal on the re-tune. We initially just wanted a baseline so that we could see the difference gained with the upcoming new parts. Since the deal was just too good to say no to, the customer agreed and Doug went to work.

About 2 hours later, Doug completed the tune. He ended up cleaning up the a/f's under load, to a consistent 11.4 all the way across. The customer was ecstatic, not only did he save a ton of money, but he just made 40 rwhp more and 50 more torque.

We just finished adding the new parts, okada projects, ported megan 02 housing, and a bigger intercooler. i will update this thread with the new numbers soon, but i do know that the okada's did gain 6 rwhp by themselves. ;)

oh and Doug or Cicio, if you want, throw up the dynographs. Thanks again for all of your hard work and willingness to work with us.

Good job on the tune! I'd be really happy to see such a power increase just from a tune. Of course, the power was always there...it just had to be awakened. :)

He was under the impression he was at 400 awhp already. What was he actually at when you started? An is the graph above with the of, okada coils and Megan?

Cicio I'm coming up there tomorrow to see Mike P's car and talk with Doug. Been there once before to see a friend that came down from South Carolina

The car made 350 on our dyno a few days after coming from the other shop...then the day the baseline above was done it was a little cooler. The baseline is the numbers you see above in the graph.
