Does Anyone know of any good or reputable schools in Florida?
I'm really looking into Going to UTI in Orlando when i get out of the Army next year... I want to go to an automotive tech. school to learn all i can about engine/transmissions work/build/modification. I'm ready to go to school and eager to learn. It has always been a passion for me... Any suggestions ?

Here's what I found doing a quick search. I don't have any personal knowledge about them but I would think this would be a good start for you to request more information directly from them.

I believe MAADA offers training for automotive body work, electrical and some engine work. I believe training is free. I'm not sure if MAADA programs is also available in FL though.

I believe MAADA only offers training in metro Atlanta. I looked at their website and they only talk about a 40,000 square foot training location in Atlanta.

My buddy went to UTI and got a job at Mercedes right out of school. He didn't like their structure though and went to Audi and makes a great living. Hes worked on S4's, RS4's, R8's, etc. so just saying they must be decent. I went to North Metro Tech in cartersville and got my associates in automotive tech and haven't done shit with it. Although I know I could get management posistions at a parts store or work as a service writer or parts guy at a dealership. They make pretty damn good money too, so take that as you will.
Forgot to mention UTI is hideously expensive. I wanna say around 30-40k for 2 years of school.

Sounds like your Friend got a pretty Damn Good thing going for himself. I'm not really too worried about how much i make as long as i can live for at least 2 people lol
And as far as the costs for school i'm pretty much covered cause i also have the Military G.I. Bill i'm going to use.
Thanks Bud!!!

Military takes care of you for sure. I will be making the Navy pay for the rest of my college. All 6k of my student loans and the year that I have left lol. Let us know what you decide and have fun. My buddy had a great time going to school down there.
