This weekend is the annual Axis versus Allies autox event... you may ask yourself a) what does AvA have to do with autoxing and b) wouldn't the Axis win since you have all the miatas, hondas, bimmers, porsches, subarus etc on that side?
Well I really don't know what autoxing has to do with AvA but it's a fun theme for the event! The event pits all japanese and german cars against american and british cars. If you show up in a italian car apparenlty before lunch you are on the axis side and later in teh day you drive for the allies. And yes with some "creative" scoring (and counting the new minis as "british" cars) the Allies will always win but it's still fun. Cecil is about 3 hours south of Atlanta and the lot is well worth the drive, I usually will hit third in this lot. This past spring they held a National Tour at this site and will hold another one in 2008.
