There is no way a GT-R would walk a Veyron like that. A Switzer P800 GT-R was utterly molested by the Veyron a few weeks back. you know 4 Veyron tires cost near $19000. I think his were worn

^ and there is NO WAY a Lancer could hang with cars 70k+ ;)

Haha, this has been all over the GT-R boards. I have a few sources from guys who were actually there who have the details. Lots of info that make this more interesting.

Getting walked over and hanging by a car length is different in my book.
Here are words to live by:
"If you hang you lose, if you walk you win".

And this modded GT-R did exactly that... in the bootyhole. Is Attesa-ETS really that superior to most supercars?

I always that it was Mitsubishi was the reigning king of all wheel drive systems

Mitchibichi SAWD>Quattro/4Motion>ATTESSA-ETS>4Matic>than Subarus Symmetrical

I would have to disagree. The AWD in the older Skylines and the R35 GTR is far superior to the Mitsubishi AWD. Honestly, it's not even a comparison. This is coming from someone who has owned a Evo 8 non ACD, Evo 9 w/ ACD, R34 Skyline, and R35 GTR. I have beat on each car hard enough to tell the difference. Even the Veyron guys will tell you the AWD system in the GT-R is superior to the one in the Veyron. Just a little insight ;)

veyron is 1004 at the crank with AWD....at a 20% loss......that would put it about 800whp. the veyron is also not a light car...its VERY luxurious.....

veryron weight- 4,486 lb
GTR weight- 3,836 lb

but i saw that video too, night time video on the interstate.

ryan....share details with us sir lol

It is unbelieveable that he can pull away that hard from a Veyron! What was done to the GT-R?!

Chad is right on about the math on this one. Also keep in mind that once you do a full exhaust and suspension it drops the weight to around 3750 lbs, my car is proof of this. A upgraded turbo GT-R is capable of upwards of 750whp on the stock block. The GT-R in the video has a built motor. Food for thought ;)

Thanks Chad. I'll have to look up the specs on that kit.

Very interesting to know....^ lets not forget to credit the short gearing for the R35 . You see this is why prefer a X MR over a GSR. Sure we all love throwing our cars into gear, but there is surely advantage to have a single or dual transmission.

*I still scream foul, could weight be the factor for it to lose in wet pavement? -neva mind FOUND ANSWER

By your math the a full exhaust system is good for over 1000 pounds? Or did you mean it drops the weight to 3750 (Which is still impressive).

Don't think so. I won't build my motor unless I have reason to. I like driving my car everyday. I have considered doing upgraded turbo's next year, but not really sure quite yet. I just rode in a stock block GTR with upgraded turbo's and E86 that made 655 here and it was redic... By far the hardest pulling car I have ever been in.

The R35 in the video likely weighs 700 pounds less than the Veyron. It was also wet, so keep that in mind.
