Im driving on the highway to work this morning and I hear BOOM! (Pic Inside)

I was driving to work this morning on 285. Just cruising because Im early as usual. Then I hear BOOM! I didnt see anything in the road nor did I smell tire smoke. Now for the next test...I press the accelerator and I hear a loud tapping noise and I have very little power. Im hoping (praying) that it was an intercooler hose but I knew that was highly unlikely. I open the hood and I see this...

So I get a fresh set of BPR7ES's slap them in and she runs fine. Thanks to Cico, Matt, and Mike P. On a side note I was near Chik-fil-a and that new Spicy Chicken Sandwich is a beast! Try one, lol laters.

Man I wish I knew. It just looked like the #3 plug decided to take an AWOL. All of the other plugs had normal wear and were seated tightly/correctly.

Yeah thats exactly what happened. Ive never seen this before either. Cicio suggested that it must have worked its way loose over time. Again that diode was almost touching. Not sure how that happened either. I drove 25+ miles back home and I had no issues at all. Lol, actually it drove better than before.

I was cruising really. U cant go to fast on 285 anyways in the morn with so much traffic and no HOV. The threading on the spark plug was fine. I gets somehow it worked its way loose. I changed them right before I got tuned which was at least 3 months ago.

Nah when it happened I figured either i ran over something or the intercooler piping had come loose somewhere. So I eased on the gas to "hear" the damage and checking engine pressure. I had enough pressure to coast and drive about 1/2 mile. I guess 4g63's make good power on 3 cylinders, lol.
