So, my car was starting to develop some problems over the last few weeks/months and I needed it fixed ASAP. Some history first:
I first got some performance goodies on the car in the December/January time frame. Then after Topspeed installed my AMS downpipe (never do it yourself you'll thank your hands and sanity) they tuned it via my Cobb accessport. They took a darn good stage 2 and made it even better (350HP/350TQ in 55 degree weather).

I planned to come back when I could afford more parts. Then I found a good deal on a Forge WGA and GoBoost's lovely Buschur FMIC (ty sir!!). It was during this time between the 1st tune in January and March that the car sarted to feel strange. It would stutter, hesitate and backfire then the ACS service required message comes on. The fix for me was to back off on the throttle and feather it a bit so that doesn't happen. I figured it was torque limiting tables Doug could work with next time I get it tuned or something. Took it to Import Showdown and shoved it down the track like it was and ran a 13.43. So I knew something was up (besides the terribad driver skill and baby's butt smooth stock clutch engagement).

Then I put the wastegate actuator and Buschur front mount on the car. I felt a little more in the butt dyno, but I wanted another tune and Doug to fix the car right.
Well, come to find out the Fuel Pressure Regulator hose had come loose on the block. It had come off before and I zip tied it on...nope, didn't help that thing needs 2 zip ties and superglue. Go figure Mitsu wouldn't put a barb/nipple on the connection to one of the most important vacuum lines on the engine.

Anyhow, we retuned the car in 90 degree weather with some muggy humidity and got 357HP/380TQ. Now I'm not looking for great numbers here, but I knew if I brought it in to Doug he would A) find the problem, B) fix it and C) in a matter of moments have you back on the road. AND without making you feel like an idiot for not knowing my hose had come off...AGAIN...making the car run stupid lean under 100% throttle.

Also, many thanks to Cicio for hanging out and the free beer while I waited for a couple of other folks to get their cars tuned. Dyno tuning and road tuning each customer takes a bit longer than just tuning on the dyno, but you know you're leaving the place in good hands.

I'll be keeping my business at Topspeed for sure and I highly recommend you bring your baby there.
