I previously had tuned this customers Supra with great results. So good that he informed me that he was unhappy with his protune he had from another place on his EvoX . The car was running way too much boost and in his words "just didn't feel smooth at all" something he was concerned about since he wanted to track the car.
So Cicio scheduled him an appointment to have me custom map his evoX to get everything perfect. The customers desire was a nice safe tune that he could road race comfortably, and was smooth on the street.
Our first pull on the dyno confirmed his concerns about the previous shops tune as the car was running 31psi peak falling to 23psi and knocking like crazy.
So I loaded one of my base maps and got to work. Dropping peak boost down to 26.5 with a nice safe taper to 21psi at redline.
The end result was more power less boost and timing.
