I went by Rick Case in Duluth a couple of weeks ago and the service mgr agreed to warranty my faded wing with a new one. So I call today to see what the status is on my wing. The service mgr says that it will be after the first of the year before it comes in. Then, he says that he checked on my car after I left and the warranty on my car's emissions was voided by the mitsu dealership that I bought the car from. He sarcastically said that anything having to do with the emissions is exempt from warranty(ie. practically everything:mad:). He proceeds to tell me that my car was full of aftermarket stuff when it was traded in and they had to pull all of it out to get the car back to stock. I assumed as much anyway, but it still makes me mad that they are such a-holes about it.
Sorry to hear that Brett. But that's why I haven't done anything to my car besides the downpipe and turbo back. I know how I drive and all, but you can never be to much careful with these parts.

I know its a drive, but if you have the time go up to (or call 1st. Just have your VIN with you) Ed Voyles. Ive heard they have really changed and are starting to be better about warranty stuff.
Also i believe by law they have to return any non-emission compliant stuff to stock by law and the only reason the warranty could have been voided at all was if the previous owner took the car in for service and they voided it then, but if the previous owner never took the car in for warranty or any other work than its their responsibility to make it emissions compliant and if its still within the 10 years (most drop it to 5-6 years if your the 2nd owner) and still within the mileage than they have to warranty it.
Also did you buy it from a Mitsu dealership? If so they would have to put on the window sticker or warn you in writing in someway or another that there was no warranty. If thats the case you should go back to the dealership you bought it from and demand them to reinstate your warranty or get a rebate of some sort. If they do the rebate should be a good way to get modding money :D.
On the bright side if nothing is done emissions stuff is easy and cheap for the most part to replace.

my car is full of stuff and ed voyles replaced mine for me...
it might be a bit of a drive for you, but if you think it's worth it, do it.
it's on cobb pkwy in marietta.
Ive got a good bodyshop/paintshop just in case you want to take that route
Let me tell you, Mitsu pretty much voids the warranty no matter what as soon as you drive off the lot with it.

Well he said they would replace the wing anyway and you better believe that I will be double checking my calipers again to see if they are peeling. I want to make sure I can get everything I can replaced under stock that they will allow.
Besides that, I bought the car from Parkway Mitsubishi in LaGrange and nothing was mentioned about them voiding the warranty. Also, they pushed me into buying an extra bumper to bumper warranty that I am paying about $20 a month added into my payment. It is supposed to cover everything like a new warranty since the car had so few miles when I bought it. If my warranty is void, I want my damn money back. Otherwise, they need to stop crying and pay.

R all these warranty issues u all are having related to certified warranties/ non-original owner warranties??
I'm the original owner & I haven't had to deal with any warranty issues yet (& my Evo is still stock outside of a replaced K&N drop-in air filter), but I do want to make some mods down the line without any headaches................
