What an awesome shop! I went up there yesterday and was extremely impressed. I really can't say enough to express how satisfied I am with the experience, but will give some details.
First off, I wasn't sceduled until the next day, but got off work early and Ryan was able to fit my car in. They were busy, so that suprised me, and impressed me. My car got the only lift available.... or they might have even taken a car down to get to it. There were a ton of nice cars there! GT-Rs, Evos, Stis, and of course 350s,370's, and some nice G's. Ryan's race Evo, and Sharif's GT-R were two of the sickest cars I've ever seen.
The to-do list was this: Remove MBC and put back OEM boost lines, Oil/Filter change, rotate my tires on Advans RS's, test pipe and bov install, and an OTS AP flash.
When I first got there, Ryan handed me my brand new AP to install on my laptop I brought. For some reason my laptop wouldn't read the CD, and everyone there helped to get the data transferred to a flash drive so I could install it. Perfect....uploaded my maps to it, and that was that. It was a nice waiting room, with a black leather couch I could chill on all day lol. Playing with Caesar was alot of fun too, I love dogs. Also, it never got old going outside and drooling over all the cars there.
Then, Shawn took my car to the lift. I'm always nervous when someone new works on my car(s). Shawn did not make me feel that way at all. He handled my wheels and car very carefully. I really appreciated that. Also, Ryan noticed the previous owner installed the directional tires backwards..so they took care of that of course. Going back to OEM boost lines made me nervous for some reason, but Shawn was very patient with me and my questions. He made sure I was completely comfortable with the setup and pill removal. The coolest thing Shawn did for me was test drive my car and check boost under WOT for me. I didn't want to risk a ticket in an area I'm unfamiliar with, considering I just got a bad ticket recently. He also packaged my stock parts very nicely in the trunk. I have completete confidence in Shawn now, and feel real comfortable owning this car with Forged around. I was worried about where I'd get my Evo serviced since my previous shop closed.
After I paid for the parts and service, they still stuck around...after hours...on a Friday, to help make sure my AP flash goes properly. I've used the AP on another car, but was nervous because it was different and had some questions. First it said I had too many maps, so had to fix that on my pos laptop. Finally flashed it, and had some questions. Ryan, Shawn, and Scott all assured me everything was good to go.
They were right! Car runs freakin perfect! I feel so at ease with this car now. If I break it, I have Forged. If I want to go faster, I have Forged. Nice to meet you all and big thanks,...see you soon!
