So I haven't even had the car a week and yet I've been quite busy with it already. Thankfully Reno has a large Subaru community, so I was able to pick up a Megan DP w/ cat delete and an Apex'i catback for 250. My roommate has an 06' STi and is going with an ATP stock placement 30R and needed a larger intake, so I bought his old APS true cold air intake from him for 150 and he tuned me for 150, so 550 bucks and the end result is 218awhp and 230 ft/lbs. This is in no where near what my Evo was, but considering I started at 167awhp/162ft/lbs its a considerable difference that I'm rather happy with. I'll be keeping the car like this for quite a while and may consider coilovers or something when I get out of basic, but for now my focus is on getting into an Evo X after basic and keeping the WRX for a DD.

That's good that you are able to source some inexpensive parts. I didn't know that those cars started off with so little power. At least they respond well to mods.

Yea. The 02-05 WRXs are rated at 227hp. Factor in drivetrain losses and there you get your 160awhp. The Evos are almost just as bad as some of the 03's were only putting down 220 on a dynojet stock when they were rated at 271.
