Had fun track days at Road Atlanta last weekend. Forged (Jay)'s 370z at 0:56s was lighting fast. Sharif's GT-R was doing 1:29 on Saturday (crazy fast).

Andy, I've been busy at work last couple months. Trying to make to the next meeting if possible. I'm planing going back in June again. We EVO guys should all go at once :D There was a red Evo8 running in Time Trial, wondering if he did good.

I was there getting to Evo tech inspected, just so there will be no surprises come my first time out.

What video camera are you using? Video is good, audio needs some work.

Its a cheap Sony Webbie HD. The noise is probably due to on the rear windshield. We are going to try to mount at a different location next time before we change the video camera lol.

Have you considered investing in a GoPro HD? That's what we use. Audio is better, although not amazing. Video is great. It comes with a suction cup mount as well as several exterior mounts. Price is pretty good too. Just something to think about ;)

Yeah, we have thought about getting a GoPro HD if changing the location doesn't work out :)

That was me. Did a 1:40.x on Sunday. Not competitive in TTS yet. Still working through some issues.

I may run WG pressure in TTS fairly soon. A few more final tweaks and I'll be good to go :)

Looking forward to it Ryan!! Let me know if you have any questions about TTS or NASA. Unless you can prove experience and pass a check-ride, they recommend you go through their DE program (at least DE3) before entering Time Trials. Last weekend, their were over 50 cars on track at the same time and because of the rain, griding was all over the place. When it dried out, you had some fast cars in the back, "slow" cars in the front and it was all mixed up. Their was ALOT of open passing and jockying for postition anywhere on the track.... I made some passes down the esses myself and gave one.

I'll likely have to go through the DE portions first which should be entertaining. I've been on track countless times, but haven't been "signed off" by an instructor for NASA as I usually am with open track days or Redline Time attack. These will be my first NASA events. Regardless, I'll do my time and get out there. In any case it will give me time to dial in the suspension before competition.

LOL, yeah very true. Especially on the last couple sessions, all cars TT, DE3/4, Lightings were on the track.

Ryan, looking forward to see you. Since you had many track experiences already, I believe you can started from DE2 and sign off to DE3 on the same day. At DE3 you can get signed off for TT. Please be nice to the DE2 guys once you are on, your blue EVO will over kill them. :D

That's the plan. I don't expect it to take me too long to get through them. Even if it does, at least I'll be on track. Not a problem either way. There is always something to learn from someone else.
I'll likely be running on wastegate pressure the first few sessions anyways. We have some work to do on the suspension. Once we dial it in we can turn the boost up ;)

I was there and saw both the X and red VIII.
The gf and I are attending an HPDE event at NCCAR next month. I'm pretty stoked as it'll be my first track event with the Evo. :)

I was there on Saturday morning. I saw some of the forged cars, but I didn't see any of you Evo guys. CK, did your brother run his supra? I really planned on running this event, but the car was not ready. I just need tires and a better catch can. I just plan on doing some DE's this year. I hope to see you guys out there next time.

We were near the Forged cars. Nah, he did not run in his Supra. He was in the Lexus IS350. Hopefully the Supra will be ready by the next event. Man, I've been waiting for you to come out for over a year now! It will be an EVO reunion next time if everyone came out. LOL.

Be sure to do a write-up of the track. It's still new and void of facilities so I opted out on that one.

I will for sure. I've had a GoPro for quite some time now and can finally put it to good use. :)
