For those of you that don't know, I started a window tinting business. I have tinted windows for about 10 years now. I've done a couple of cars for guys on this forum that can vouch for my work.
Anyway, I decided to give a price discount to members of this forum, so if anyone wants their windows tinted, let me know either by this forum, PMing me, or even calling me!
Here are the club's prices for the Evo. Prices depend on the film you choose. All films are LLumar brand films which come with a lifetime warranty against adhesive failure and color change. In other words, these films are guaranteed not to bubble, peel or crack and also not to fade or turn purple.
$175 - Color stable dyed film - Lifetime warranty
$200 - Color stable dyed/metal film - Lifetime warranty
$225 - Color stable full metal film - Lifetime warranty
$300 - Color stable ceramic film - Lifetime warranty
Here are the breakdowns of each film:
Color stable dyed:
Glare reduction: good
Heat rejection: good
Reflectivity: N/A
Color: charcoal (black-ish)
Color stable dyed/metal:
Glare reduction: great
Heat rejection: great
Reflectivity: low
Color: charcoal (black-ish)
Color stable full metal (Platinum Plus):
Glare reduction: best
Heat rejection: best
Reflectivity: high
Color: neutral
Color stable ceramic (safe for electronics)
Glare reduction: best
Heat rejection: best
Reflectivity: low
Color: charcoal (black-ish)
The ceramic film is expensive... However, it's the best. Best looking, best performing and doesn't interfere with electronics such as radar detectors, antenna's, car electronics in general... Metal films may come into interference with these things. Ceramic film is great because of the optical clarity it gives you look out of it. It's like looking out of an expensive pair of sunglasses. It's what I have on my car.
All of the films I carry are great films. If you're on a tight budget, you'll still be very happy with the dyed film. If you're on a moderate budget, then dyed/metal or full metal film's are great because they provide superior heat rejection and better optical clarity by reduced glare. If you're not on any kind of budget, ceramic is the way to go!
As mentioned, all come with a lifetime warranty and while I'd prefer you come to my place and do it because I'm set up with all my equipment, I can travel to your place if you're not too far away and you have a clean garage with plenty of light.
