First off, very special thanks to all the sponsors, competitors, and spectators who supported the 2009 NOS Energy Drink IMPORT FACE-OFF series. 2009 was our best year yet with 22 events nationwide. EVERY repeat location that was not affected by weather or date change had an increase in attendance from all years before. The scene dying is a MYTH.

The series is still growing and will have another national tour with atleast 25 events in 2010. The first IFO in 2010 will mark our 100th event since 2001. 2010 RACE POINTS CHAMPIONSHIP presented by LightningMotorsports.com - The Import Face-Off Race Points Championship is for Heads Up Pro class racers only. Racers will receive 10 points for every elimination round won at each 2010 event. Winners will be chosen for Top 8/16 qualifier classes (FWD or FIP) and for Top 4/8 qualifier classes (AMP/OL) for 5 different colored regions (see map below). All race points winners will receive trophy plus free race and crew entry (limit 3) to all future IFO events FOR LIFE! All trophies will be awarded at finals. Overall national winner will also receive a $2000 Lightning Motorsports certificate. More prizes for individual regions and classes to be announced throughout the year. 2010 SHOW POINTS CHAMPIONSHIP: The Import Face-Off Show Points Championship is for Car Clubs only, not solo entries. Car clubs will receive 10 points for each Best Club Representation (not Participation) award won at each 2010 event. Winners will be chosen for 5 different colored regions (see map). Winners will receive trophy plus club feature in the February, 2011 issue of PAS magazine.

im down(not sure if i will race)... i won my class(FORCED INDUCTION SPORT) in 2007 witch the pay out then was $100.... it was me vs another evo in the finals ... my evo 8 was a stock turbo and i was running 12.0x's

We can set a meeting place sometime next week when we have more of an idea whom all will be attending. So far we have some members from Columbus and Athens attending so the meet up time and location will try to equal and fair for everyone. Personally I like the Varsity for this one because its in a neutral spot and 285/75/85/20 are close by. Keep in mind that the event is on 85 (northbound to Commerce), so if we meet up there it would be a straight shot.

Hey are of the owners of those evos members on here? If so, will you ask them to chime in? If not, will you ask them to sign up?

Ok after looking at the official import face off website and speaking with other people who have attended this event in the past I have reason to believe that this is a pretty big event. I was told that it may be the biggest event in the Atlanta other that Formula Drift (Drift Atlanta). If this is true, then clearly there will be alot of people and cars. That brings up an important issue...PARKING!

Im not sure if the gates open @ 10AM or 11AM. Im thinking 10AM if you are registered to race or for the car show. The 11AM may be for spectators. IF we want to get decent parking together I suggest that we get there early. Most of us will be checking out the festivities and not standing "guard dog" by our cars. So for us to have that peace of mind and get some reps for a bunch of hot @$$ evos parked together we need to be on it.

I suggest that we pull out of the Varsity by 9AM.
*we can get there easily within an hour
Negatives
-ppl from Columbus will have to leave like around 7AM
-you have to get out of the bed early on Sunday

-we wont miss any portion of the event
-we would get more action for our money

So yall please add your input about the pull out time, parking, etc. Also if you dont mind, just state if you want to race, enter the car show, or just spectate. If this event is not scraped, there is a marathon that will be taken place in ATL.
*Why is this relevant you ask?
Well, the meet up spot for all metro evo owners will be at the Varsity(northside drive) on Sunday. And where there is a marathon there are road blocks.
Going to work today I noticed a few DOT mobile signs indicating closure of Northside 03/21.

I'd suggest requesting a secondary meet up spot.
