Varsity Meet 4/3/2010 (weather pending)

Sup yall. Most of you all are familiar with this meet. This will prolly be the first decent Varsity meet of the year, weather pending. For those of you whom are not familiar:

When: 1st Thursday of every month
Place: Varsity
61 Noth Ave
Atlanta,GA 30308 (downtown near GA Tech)
Time: Approx 6pm until

I have been attending them since 2003. Its cool because all types of cars, trucks, bikes, clubs, shops, crews, etc attend. As the weather gets warmer the meets get EXTREMELY packed. So if you dont have anything to do on a Thursday night, stop by.

Note after a certain time (usually 9pm) the cars in the lower parking lot "may" get booted. Here are three options to avoid this
1. Pay the $1 or so to park and place your ticket in the window.
2. Get there early and park in the upper parking lot. (not upper parking deck)
3. Stand by your car all night

To date, I have never been booted. It would be nice to get some evo's there. Some ppl will hate and say its all Honda or rice. I disagree. I wish the Evo community would rep events like the Subie and Honda guys. The cops will be there and I think thats a good thing. They dont bother you unless you do something stupid. They get a kick out of checkn out cars too. The fries suck but the chilli dogs are ok. I hope that turbo GSXR-1000 shows up again. Laters

I have never been to a Varsity meet. It is usually too hard to make it to a meet during the week since I have to get up at 4:30 every morning for work.

Lol, no I didnt mean it like that. Thats a sure fire way to keep a boot off your car. If this is the first Varsity meet for you then you prolly wont be impressed but TRUST ME, when it warms up its PACKED! I will look through my photos to see if I can find one to give you an idea. I like to get there early so I can park where the entrances meet. That way I can stand by my car and I get to see everything (legs and cars) that pass by me :cool:

Actually, I don't think I will make this one, I'll be in Diwaniyah Province, Iraq on Thursday. But was curious why yyou had to stand by your car. I am going to try to go to one though when I re-deploy.

I will be there by 6. I want to beat all of the "roll outs" on importatlanta. I want to park in the upper lot (where the cops direct traffic) so I can see everything that passes. Lol, I will try to park sideways to hold a space. Mike P. will be leaving the gwinnett area around 630. Ash and Kari usually come but I havent heard from them or anyone else. Sidenote I saw on IA that the guys from Forged will be there.
