who is using one? and what brand? im thinking of going with either shearer o2 dump or maps o2 eliminator downpipe http://www.maperformance.com/map-stainless-steel-o2-eliminator-downpipe-for-evolution-8-9-map-o2e-ss-evo.html
what do ya think??

I helped with testing and development of the EPM O2 dump pipe. The prototype netted around 14hp and tq over a broad range, and my car specifically gained 19 hp and tq. If you can find an EPM for sale, get it as it will make you power. As far as the others, I've seen no data from them.

I've got one that is a SS o2 housing modified by MP Fab for open dump. It sounds great but sometimes I wish it wern't so loud. They attract alot of attention at WOT. I keep toying with the idea of swapping it out fo0r just a standard SS o2 housing. The MAP stuff is very nice & reasonably priced. If I were to do it all over again I'd get the MAP o2 eliminator downpipe. It's the only true 3" o2 housing out there right now & it's reasonably priced.
here's a link for it

yeah i have the link in my first post but it ss..... thats what im mostly leaning towards.... my goal is to hit 400hp on pump stock turbo... so im getting everything lined up to reach that power... ill prob get tuned by ttp

well im shooting for 400 on pump with stock turbo.. so i need every hp i can get.. so i wouldnt be doing it for the "sound" it would be strictly for power

you will need some madd tyte stickers to achieve 400whp on stock turbo on pump
you can have 400whp now... just tell your dyno'er to adjust the calculation on the dyno.

have faith;) im hoping to achieve this on a dynojet

You likely won't hit 400 on the stock turbo and 93 octane alone. You can do it on meth, race fuel or E85 though. I'm sure with a 2.3 and head work it would be possible, but I'm not sure you're going that far on the stock turbo.
FWIW, I'm sitting around 385 with completely stock internals ... cams, turbo (no port), heads, block, pistons, etc. That is with a quick E85 setup at around 27 psi peak and a minor boost leak. =)

^ i will be pretty much doing everything mod wise to the car.... from ported exhaust housing, ported exhaust mani(or fullrace mani) to ported intake and tb and speed density... and will be getting tuned by ttp... they had a couple cars make 400 on pump on their mustang dyno. like i said im shooting for this number on a dynojet..... but im not going to get my hopes up to high because i know its a big hill to climb and if i dont reach it on pump then e85 will be going in..lol

I've ran JmFabrications o2 housing w/ext dump since they came out. The quality and fitment is great and haven't has a single issue period. I've sold a few of MAP's o2 dumps as well and personally recommend one or the other. Both will may take some patience as they're made by request.

If you go to TTP you might see 400+ on pump. But, with all of the voodoo surrounding that place, I'm not certain your trap speeds would back up that 400hp number. I have no personal experience, but not a day goes by where someone isn't complaining about his super high reading dyno.

back the the o2 dump......... will running a recirculated dump lose power over a external dump? and will a recirulated dump gain power over a standard aftermarket o2 housing... i would rather not run an external dump being i want to keep my car as close to stock looking/sounding minus after market exhaust.

You will see minimal power gains from simply removing the WG flow from the system and reducing turbulence. In testing the EPM O2 dump, we found that most gains were actually found in the turbine pipe design and not really in the WG pipe. Out first 2 prototypes made very little power, and we ended up getting 14hp/tq out of the final prototype, or about 10hp/tq over the second prototype with virtually no changes to the wastegate pipe.
Here is a comparison of the EPM O2 housing against a gasket matched Megan SS housing ...

Correct sir, external dump will always gain more power due to the amount of gained exhaust flow. The 2nd question's answer is both the recirculated dump and a normal standard o2 housing are the same. It' will be a decent amount louder, but it's a good loud with ext dump ;) Here's a quick clip of my car a few yrs ago.
