Well Magnaflow finally got finished with the quality control for the catback exhaust system for my car and I am scheduled to receive it tomorrow. I can't wait to see what it sounds like on the car. I'll be sure and post some pictures and hopefully some videos as well. Here I come quad tips. I'm trying to be like Ryan and his GTR. :D

The Fort Benning guys are having a meet on Saturday and since Tennessee is going to get a crap load of snow which precludes me from driving up there and seeing my family I thought I would join in their reindeer games. :D

Just a Y Pipe for now. I still don't plan to go crazy with it. It's a nice power adder that makes the car sound 10x better without being terribly loud. I have wheels on order, but they will be a couple of weeks.

You referring to the R34 or did you finally get your R35?

Sold the R34 on Thursday of last week and picked up the R35 on Saturday. :)

It's hard to take pics/videos during the week because I work 8-6 meaning I have little to no daylight when I get off. I will get pictures for sure on this weekend, and hopefully some video :)

I will be going there. It's not until 3pm so we could still do it Saturday morning if you are game. Honestly it won't take that long.

Quad exhausts are overrated when all you need is one big pipe :D. Glad your getting some stuff done to the Genesis! Can't wait for the sound clip! That V6 should sound gnarly!!!

Are you saying that you need one big pipe? You need to keep your personal life just that, personal. :D

I already have an Injen CAI installed so this catback should complete the mods for the breathing parts of the system. I've heard that the Magnaflow system is supposed to make it sound like a V8. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. It should be installed this weekend so I should have clips up on Saturday.

I got magnaflow exhaust in my car. The performance and sound are good but I'm planning to change it for Greddy TI turbo back.

I also had a Magnaflow muffler on my Evo and loved the sound of it. You really can't go wrong with Magnaflow.

I just finished installing it. It was a breeze to install, but I need to go get a 19mm ratcheting wrench to finish tightening down two of the nuts. I will get some pictures up later today. It looks damn good.

Okay guys here it is. I will get a better video up tomorrow as soon as I can get another person to rev the car for me. This thing sounds AWESOME!!! The fitment is spot on and required no modification at all.

I got redynoed this Saturday at Forged. I needed a better comparison since one of the aftermarket parts has been showing negative gains in other Genesis Coupes. I was pleasantly surprised at the horsepower since my first dyno was on a Dynojet and of course this one was on the Dyno Dynamics.

My horsepower on the Dynojet was 261 rwhp.

My horsepower on the Dyno Dynamics was 259 rwhp.

That tells me that the aftermarket part was indeed robbing me of power vice giving me power. There is a fix currently in the works for it which will allow tuning to the car's mods. For those interested it is the RRM NSPP.

Also wanted to say thanks to Sharif for accommodating myself and Ed on Saturday morning.

No the NSPP is the Next Stage Power Pro from Road Race Motorsports. It's supposed to intercept the electrical signals to your MAF and tweak them. They would show initial gains but then supposedly the ECU would relearn around it and you would actually lose power. The box is made by Zeitronix and they supposedly have a fix to where they will send me tuning software so I can fix it. I opened up the box and there is a serial port connector so it allows for connecting.

Exactly. But the DD reads about 12% lower than most dynos. This would mean that on a DJ I would have read ~290 vice the 261 that I was reading, which means that I was losing a lot of power using the NSPP because it was plugged in when I got dynoed on the DJ. Now if I had dynoed ~245 on the DD then I would have assumed that the NSPP wasn't to blame, but because my numbers were so close then to me it's obvious that the NSPP was robbing me of power.

$40 for non SCCA members and novices. If you have never autox'd before I reccomend signing up for novice, you normally get an extra run and an instructor rides with you to coach you. You can always swing by and check it out.

Wholeheartedly agree. There is also a test and tune on Saturday at the same location. You can stop by then as well to get a feel of how autocrosses are ran. I'll be honest. Once you do it, you will be hooked.

I have to work this Saturday, boo! I did not run enough events last season to participate in the test and tune. But it would be a great chance to watch and get a feel of autox. I run morning session on Sunday, they have loaner helmets, so if I have a free front seat your welcome to hop in for a ride.
