Ok, awhile back, my A/C, Heater Knob broke off. Now that the plastic stick that holds the knob is all uneven. Can't turn it anymore. I've thought of taking it to the nearest dealer and having them fix it or give me a new set or whatever but I know it won't be cheap. What do you guys think & what are some ideas? Before, it was hard turning it smoothly to the heat side. Why it broke was probably because I was turning it too hard to the heater and SNAP! Let me know what you all think; sucks in the winter cause you can't control the climate in your car. haha

Paint the vice grips body color or flat black. Done.

This actually happened to me too and I've been doing just that... I twist it with pliers or vice grips. Its so freaking cold here though, so I just keep it on high heat and gets hella hot in the summer so I keep it on super low during the winter.

If I had a photo of the exact issue, I could maybe weigh in with a real solution.

Yeah, it seems like the HVAC panel is broken. The solution is to replace it, or not use it. Pretty straight forward.
