I got my car from a previous member while he was putting it back to stock...there were a few things wrong with it but for the most part it was a good deal. Anyways I'm just posting some pictures showing the progress from when I got it (not running) to now. Far from done...I'd say I'm about 65% of the way there. Then its on to another project.

The flatbed driver was a champ.....figured out how to get the car in to the garage (My driveway is on an decline and I had no clue how long it was going to take to get it running and didn't want it sitting on the driveway until I did)

Matt was awesome. I went to see him in AL. I left before we could finish but he finished up through email. Great experiece and I would recommend him to anyone. I will be going back to him when I get my upgraded IC, turbo and manifold.

Put Mitsubishi decals on the wheels. Looks department is almost done. I have a Rexpeed Type3 spoiler on order, debating on getting a carbon fiber hood and aside getting some Rota DPT's and possibly switching the interior to all Bride the only thing left is an upgraded IC (either ETS or CBRD), upgraded turbo (CBRD Full/XL, FP Red/ HTA Green/Black....clearly I haven't made my mind up yet), exhaust manifold (Shearer or JMFab) and possibly a ported throttlebody and intake manifold. I have goal in mind powerwise and if I can reach it with just turbo, IC and manifold then I'm good.

Next will be another Civic project. LOL. Enjoy the pics guys. I know most won't care but I've come along way for only owning the car for 6 months.

First of all it looks great. My buddy just got back from Chris (Mellon Tuning) yesterday after being retuned. He has a IX with Kelford 272's, ported and polished IM, EM, O2 housing, throttle body, BR TBE, AMS IC, and recently installed FP Red. He put down 444 awhp. Is that what your goal is for power?

I want as close to 500 on E85 and about 450ish on pump so yeah that is about what I want. Its looking more and more like I need to go with a Red or Black

My buddy was only pushing 28psi so I'm sure if he bumped it to 30psi he would be over 450awhp on 93 octane.

There is nothing wrong with the Red. It spools up a little later than the stock IX turbo but it hits really hard when it does spool up.

I think the lag is overrated. I haven't ridden in a red equipped car bit if the difference in spool is 500rpms or less later then stock that is an acceptable trade off

He drove out to my house to help me trouble shoot. We both kinda came to the conclusion at the same time. Car cranked up first try right after I disabled the immoblizer

Your car locked it in for me. It's noticeable but you do get used to it. I wouldn't say it's overrated, but you learn to deal with it considering the power it makes.

Yeah that was when I was still taking advice as gospel from somewhere else (Swore up and down it couldn't be the imobilizer). When I ruled everything out the easiest problem was the answer. Only caused a few more weeks of frustration.

Honestly I would say closer to 750-850. The FP Green (older design, non HTA) is a solid 500 slower than stock. I noticed even more lag on the Red. Keep in mind the Red is just shy of a 35R, just crammed into a stock frame. The lag is noticeable, but the power is definitely there. We usually see 420ish on our low reading dyno with a Red with all supporting mods on a IX (390ish on a VIII). The Red is by no means a bad turbo, far from it. I have seen great success using this turbo in road racing and drag. However, if you are looking for stocklike spool or similar, this is not exactly a characteristic of the Red.
