Thanks,

It bolts to the factory location, but allows your ecu to read more boost without going crazy, although you would need to be reflashed at least just so the ecu can understand what the 4 bar is.

The Omni 4bar or the JDM map sensor (3bar) are oftern swapped in for logging boost or running ECU controlled boost (also need 3 port boost control solenoid). The USDM map sensor doesnt read high enough to be usefull and the Omni & JDM are direct replacements. As stated previously you would need a tuner to scale it & set up the boost control for you.

I set up one of these recently for a (somewhat) local guy. He's on E85 and planning to go with a large stock frame turbo, and he's running ECU controlled boost. The great thing about using an upgraded MAP sensor and E85/Meth is that you can switch between maps (93 to E85 for instance) and the boost changes automatically. You don't have to remember to roll back a MBC or swap an EBC to low boost.

I personally run the Mitsu 3bar sensor on my car and I love the control it give to boost tuning. But, if you're running a MBC and not switching fuels, then the upgraded MAP isn't really much use aside from letting you log the actual boost pressure when tuning.
