I figured that I'd let you guys in on the design idea for the Super Special Stage in our new Rally venue.
Some of you may have seen my post on EvoM or other forums getting opinions on where to start building ... a RallyCross circuit or a SSS. It seems that the SSS is what most people want thanks to the X-Games popularity and the reduced cost and danger in comparison to wheel-to-wheel RallyCross.
For reference, the long "straight" on the East side should be about 800+ feet.
EDIT :: Please don't post this elsewhere. This is a preliminary design.

I love rally. I would get an old subie 2.5 rs and do it, my Evo is my dd and it's not paid off.

Neither is mine ... lol. My IX will be on the course for testing and photography/video, but that's probably it. Once this is up and running I'll likely get an older Evo or WRX and prep it for Rally. I'm thinking around a '95 - '98 in decent shape.

Some skid plates and tires, your set. I can't remember where but I saw a used rally coilover setup for an Evo.

It looks like so much fun, but I don't want to put mine through the off road punishment until she's paid off. I'd rather see what she does on the track when I get some extra funds.

Let's hope our arena isn't considered "off-road punishment." We plan to have an amiable surface that won't damage street cars. It's going to be graded over and over with intermittent packing to guarantee a lasting, smooth surface that will not rut easily.
