Just another '05 MR.

I bought this '05 MR a few months ago more as an impulse buy then anything else but so far, I love it. A completely different animal compared to the S2K I sold last month - I didn't like the two car payment thing.

I've changed out a couple things so far but not even close to being finished. Here is what I've done so far....

- IX headlights/taillights
- IX spoiler
- Perrin antenna
- Walboro 255lph
- Robispec springs (came on the car)
- Buscher TBE (came on the car)
- HKS intake with Buschur filter
- TurboXS IC
- ETS LICP
- Shaved emblems off trunk
- Hella H11 bulbs for fogs - yellow

Next is to decide on a set of coilovers and wheels. I don't have much planned for the exterior besides the IX front bumper with an SE lip and the JDM rear.

Here is the car at Petite last month at Road Atlanta. We had some serious downpour rain so the gf and I decided to have some fun while we waited. ;)

If you new me, you'd be very amazed that I even let the thought of taking the car through mud run through my head. I spent an hour after pressure washing the chassis! :D

I've considered selling it. I honestly don't think it's that loud.

Hmmm... You may tempt me... lol. You must have the bullet or Magnaflow muffler. I had their full race muffler. It was basically straight piped. There was no muffling from the "muffler" lol.

I have the bullet although I'd like to have the smaller muffler they offer. I've considered just having a local shop make me a "straight-pipe" that can replace just the muffler section. :)

You could do that. Is yours the V band or slip fit design?

Slip-fit setup. I just have to find a muffler shop that can mandrel bend the pipe.

So I stopped by Don Jackson Mitsubishi during lunch to grab some oil filters and the gentlemen that helped me asked if the clearcoat on the calipiers was chipping. Needless to say, they are. He mentioned that they make a pretty good dime for each caliper they replace so he's going to work on getting them covered under warranty.

I thought it was pretty cool that he offered to replace them and I didn't even have to mention it to him.
