I am trying to figure out what suspension setup I am going to go with. For the last few months I have been pretty set on getting a set of KW Variants that usually go for around $2000. However, I have also been looking at going all out and getting a set of Zeal's. They cost about twice as much but I do not know how much better they are. My third option is going with a set of Ohlins that also go for around 4K. if anyone knows a great deal about any of these suspension setups, please let me know. I am open to any suggestions.

KW Variant 3
Zeal Super Function R
Ohlins Evolution Flag Series

I have heard several comments from dealers that unless you get in to the full race spec coilovers(think over $2000) they are all very similar. I personally think that as hard as you push your car in the mountains you should look into getting a setup that you can really dial in. The hard part, like Felipe said, is that you really need someone that knows what they're doing to fine tune the coilovers for your driving style. That definitely takes time and money if you don't want to set it up yourself. However, it would definitely be a good investment. Just look at the circuit racing in Japan. They are usually limited in the power that they can run. So, they look for every advantage such as downforce and suspension. There are other things that you can do to really help determine the spring rates. You can look at if you eventually want to take out the rear interior and turn it into a track car. All in all, it just depends on how far you really want to go in the long run.

Buy something that you won't grow out of for that kind of money. I personally would rather have an overkill suspension if I had the money. You have some very good suggestions so far. I personally like the Ohlins out of your suggestions. It would be a great investment. Although, if money is tight you really wouldn't be hurting to get the KW Variant 3s.

yup they are both great coilover but Ohlins just a little bit better for tracking and stuff! you gotta choose on these options on what you are looking to do! if you going to track it alot! maybe just once or twice.. or just for street! if you track it alot ohlins would be the best, hands down!
its all about how you going to drive you evo

I plan on tracking the car a good bit. I also dont care as much about the ride comford in daily driving situations. Anyone have any information on the Zeals? Ive always heard good things about them, but I dont know how they compare to the Ohlins.

In my research Zeals are good, but not worth the money. Ive had experiences with JIC's and absolutely LOVED them on my 240sx. Ive met Jon Kaneda (owner) and have a friend that works for them and they cant keep em in stock for the Evos. Also they have won lots of time attacks with their S15 Silvia and these are coilover you can order straight from them. You can even just tell them to re-valve them and put whatever spring rate you want on them. They are also a very reliable coilover and can go for over 2-3 years (if not more) worth of track events without needed a rebuild.
If nothing else though go with the KW's or Ohlins. Robi was actually here in Reno a few weeks ago and the guy knows his stuff. He can do some amazing setups.

Im currently leaning towards the Ohlins, just because I rather get an overkill suspension than a suspension that will just get the job done. Hopefully it will be on around Christmas time. I still have a bit of research to do. Any other feedback as always would be appreciated.
