This car has been an oddessy to say the least and Zen has been there every step of the way. Started off with what was thought to be a fuel pump issue (It was incorrect code in the immobilizer). Then I needed a missing MAF, then idle was jacked. Zen helped get the idle as close to normal as possible (trick with the IAC). Discovered the TPS was somehow damaged (showing 50% throttle at idle.

Zen came through again and get me the part.....while they were working on Evilution's car (Clutchjob) Dan slapped the TPS on the car....idle didn't change. Clear code for TPS.....get another code when I get home for EGR. Remove the temp fix for IAC. Disable EGR in ECUFlash Clear code now I'm getting code for the O2 heater circuit.

Previous owner installed my wideband in the rear O2 sensor place. Said I should be fine but I had to disable the Rear O2 with the ECUFlash trick. I guess there is no trick for the heater circuit since the rear O2 isn't getting hot. So hopefully Zen can find a little time after Evilutions clutchjob to drop my DP, weld a bung...put my O2 where its supposed to go and then put my rear O2 where its supposed to go so I can finally pass emissions and get my damn tag.

*sigh*....I suppose I should be happy that thee are all small issues but I feel like I can't enjoy the car until I get a plate and my SES light is off (SO damn tired of this shit).

I guess I'm just venting.

Glad to hear yer getting closer & closer. If its just the o2 sensor heater fault then you should be able to just plug the sensor in & tie it up out of the way somewhere. I think so anyway.

Yeah I figure that it just needs to get hot and I don't really like the wideband being far downstream in the exhaust so it was something that needed to be done....the SES light is just forcing me to do it now instead of just leaving it alone. I think once I get the wideband moved ot its proper placement in the DP and put the rear O2 in its proper location so it can get hot (I have a TBE so the reading is irrelvant at this point....i just need it to get hot).

Andy how close are you...need any help....spectators....LOL. Whatever. I assume you'll be working on it this weekend. I finally got my wheel bearing so I'm going to attempt to install myself on Satuday (Start Friday night).

You're right that needs to be done anyway. Didn't know it needed a wheel bearing. That seems kinda odd. Right now the only things I can do is extend a couple plugs on my harness. I've got a buddy thats gonna do it for me (I suck at soldering). Asside from that I'm in a holding pattern waiting on parts. It's possible I'll have everything here next week. This weekend I'll be in Augusta helping sis with her house so no cars for me.

Wheel coming from the honda world if the car had the power our mutual froned said it had then it stands to reason that it started failing prematurely due to the power output....still new to owning an EVO so I don't know if this is part that wear is accelerated on when you double or tripple power output.

I hate moving.....good luck on that one. Hit me up if you need an extra hand next week or just want some spectators. LOL.

I can't really see how power would affect a wheel bearing since it still spins at the same speed. Possibly added acceleration could but it's unlikely. I've just never heard of wheel bearings on Evo's being an issue. I don't really plan ahead time to work on the car. I just do stuff when I can. As the parts show up I toss them on as soon as I can. You're more than welcome to swing by whenever though & hang out or help.

Power shouldn't affect a wheel bearing. a bad alignment or oddly offset wheels can cause failure though. But honestly, sometimes they just fail.

In my experience a 360 offroad can cause premature bearing failure. It was scarry & fun all at the same time. :D

I'm in no rush at all to get my car back. If it'll help, I'll call Tray and ask em to put my Evo on the back burner so they can focus on your issue. Let me know bro.

No worries Evil...They were making headway on your car...it wouldn't be right for them to stop midstream on your car.....I'll be up there most likely tonight
