Painting your car

Would you ever paint your Evo a different color? If so, would you stick to OEM paint or go with a custom color?

i would do blk. not mitsu (oem), but blk from someone else

Good to see you on here Tripp! If I went with OEM, I'd definitely do a better job than Mitsu did. I still love mine black, but I am thinking about different avenues. The bad part is you have to do door jambs and engine bay for the full effect when going with a different color. That gets expensive!

I would do something custom for sure. I just cant see spending a bunch of money to paint a car only to have it look just like it was never painted. The best thing about starting with a black car is that you dont have to sweat painting the engine bay if ya dont wanna.

Call me strange but I would love the Dark red to match the valve cover, Plum purple, or Jade/Teal.

Anyways, I'd love to do a burnt orange. I know it's been done on Evos, but I've wanted to do it ever since I saw signal autos S15 Silvia back in the day.

Either that or a slightly darker silver with a blue pearl or Toyota/Lexus actually uses an amazing white on the RX series SUV's as well as some other cars I believe that has a SHIT ton of flake in it yet still has a blue pearl as well. Its a beautiful color! Check it out next time you see a newer white lexus!
