Going with 255/40 for now but eventually will be on 275/35. I ordered +23 offset but was thinking about changing to a +15. Whatta ya think?

Generally speaking I think the lower the offset the better on Evos. BTW why a 255/40 and not a 255/35 with the 18's?

+15 FTW but it also depends on the design of the wheel

I don't see how you plan to make a +15 work if you want to put 275s on there. The fenders will already require severe modification, rolling, pulling, possibly cutting. Even then you will have a hard time fitting that. +23 is already crazy aggressive and will take some work. Im doing a 9.5 +28 and am pretty sure I will have to cut my fenders with how low it sits. For comparison a +28 fits 7mm further out than a 18x9 +29 which is flush fitment. This means a +23 will be 12mm further out and a +15 would be 20mm further out. Aggressive looks good, but it has its limitations. Make sure you know what you're getting yourself into before you buy an offset that aggressive. +15 or +23 will require some work.

18x9.5 +23. This guy stretched 235s on em, probably to keep em tucked http://forums.maxima.org/images/smilies/puke.gif

But I see your point.

You can make it work. It just requires some work usually. +22/23 usually needs minimum heavy fender rolling if not cutting. Imagine what you just posted 8mm further out. That is what a +15 would be. I hate stretched tires because you're compromising traction ad in some cases safety for an aggressive look. I can't imagine running that skinny of a tire on that size of a wheel for the type of driving I do.

tucked look? stretched tire? what a fuckin pussy.

if you got rims that can hold more tire put more tire on it...

unless you got a 240 or something... :P

i agree, im not a fan of stretched rubber on the evo.... on my friends' 240's, it looks great, but then again, they look good tucking..... my evo, in my opinion, didnt look good tucking.... just didnt look as agressive tucking. looked like a ricer honda, so it's back up where it should be.
