I've got more issues than just the clutch. Almost 100k on this car and every single mile, I've driven her hard! With that being said, she's beginning to show her age and stuff needs to be replaced and repaired. I estimate a Monday or Tuesday completion date. :)

Not coming guys. I ran around all day today trying to find a smog station that wouldn't visually look for a cat. Got screwed by one shop (The service advisor knew what was up the smog queen obviously didn't). The second place I went to on a recommendation checked (After I was told that they never did)......they searched for 20 minutes.

Anyways I've driven this car around way too long without a tag. I'm not willing to risk getting a ticket. I have no clue how I'm going to get it to pass. I'm so blindingly angry I'm not thinking straight. I have no clue how some of you other TBE EVO's do it (maybe someone can share the ancient chinese secret).

Have to miss this one boys. I actually parked the car up for good until I cool down and/or find a way around this.

I never got the stock cat/exhaust and after the money I spent to get my car to a point where it will pass I don't really care too buy a stock exhaust or hack my TBE up....what was the damn point of buying a TBE in the first fucking place.

I'm so pissed. Anyway. Have fun. Who knows when I'll be driving my car next.

There's really nothing to figure out. I have 3 options. 1) Find/buy/borrow a stock exhaust system. 2) Hack my TBE up and put a hi flo cat on (Completely stupid because 1st off i don't have a rear O2 and 2nd I like my exhaust the wayI bought this bitch....I didn't 700 dollars to ruin it. 3) MOVE.


Option 3 is looking really attractive right now.

I'm not sure about doing another cruise. The first one had the makings of an epic event with over 20 evo's but only 5 showed. The second one seemed to be promising as well but the weather killed. The funny thing was the rain was gone by 6 so the cruise would not have been dry. I know because I drove it for the hell of it. So honestly, I'm not sure about rescheduling another. Maybe if there is buzz about a 3rd cruise...but they always start out with buzz.

I'm fairly new to this site but as far as I can tell I think if you plan them closer to the actual date we go you might be in a better boat. The reason I'm thinking it fizzles out is becuase it's such a long time in advance shit comes up for people (car breaks, life away from cars happens, etc).

Well as you all might of noticed that advertisement/pop ups are few on this site <-- Which makes for pleasant navigation & communication on the forums. However, some sort of "vivid" pop ad/invitation(upon subscription to avoid breach of privacy) should be sent to all evo owners to intice the reluctant members.

True, there is already a side bar that informs & updates of gatherings however its just not a "attention grabber."

1.) A Count Down Timer displayed on the forum about the evoATL cruise
2.) Private Invitation to join the Official evoATL Cruise
3.) Or an annoying pop whenever you log-on.

Been there. Done that. Don't worry, we all start somewhere. I'm 31 with a family. I don't have a lot of mod money, but I take it one step at a time. Btw, I came from an Si, myself.

Well the Si is my wifes. I had to DC5's..well technically one. I had a 02 Firepepper Red Pearl. I had Intake/RH/E/Kpro/stg 2 clutch, 8lb flywheel..and about 200whp. Then the black one was a 06 bone stock that got t-boned :-(. So I'm driving her Si sometimes and my EM2 SE edition coupe...*sigh*. Time to step up the game and go boost. I really want a EVO IX, but I want to hang out with EVO guys and get more feel out of the car and learn more from personal experiences.

They are just my favorite EVO of all time. TME preferably. Tommy Makkin edition (sp?)

Plus when the nine came out, EVOMS put the six vs the nine. Stock for stock it was a little faster. I just love how they look. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Nine, its a beast. But I would like a mistress in the form of another car. :)

I think it works either way sometimes a close date keeps people on thier toes & helps for those unsure of plans. However for a truly big meet you need plenty of time for people to make plans.
