I know TTP has a good rep, but if I can avoid driving 5 hours to FL that would be nice. I've heard good things about dyno4mance as well but not sure if they have enough experience with the FP red/Meth to get me to the numbers I need. Any recommendations for an experienced local tuner with a good rep?

I'm looking for about 450 to the wheels without being on the ragged edge.

I know you said you would want to not drive 5 hours, but how close are you to Memphis. Mellon is a great tuner, very personable, and you'll get your numbers. Im at 430/380 with out meth.

I was tuned at TTP, but I hear Top Speed and Forged are decent. I don't think I am going to ride to Orlando to tune it again. I doubt it.

I'm about 8 hours from Memphis according to google maps. If I have to make the drive to Orlando, then I guess thats the nature of the beast. I was originally going to go with TopSpeed, but their rep isnt as good as it used to be.

We can tune it for you, but just keep in mind we have a low reading dyno so you probably wont hit those numbers on our dyno. We did a red last year and it made 390whp on 93 on our dyno dymamics. It typically reads abour 10-15% low. I would estimate that car would have made 420ish maybe a tad more on a dyno jet.
To be honest I hate playing the numbers game because every dyno reads differently and there are way too many factors that play into the number you put down. I think you would be very happy with the tune :)

Of course, we recommend you retune the car whenever it is not current with the modifications you have on the car.

Question for ya: Is your tuner familiar with OpenECU's tuning software ECUflash? If so, does he have a serial cable to connect to my wideband for datalogging? Also, do you have an option to road tune vs dyno tune? Just curious :)

he got me 403/338 DLL on my 50 trim @ 25psi on pump gas.

You only need a Tactrix if you are doing the remote tuning. He has a cable if you go see him. I know becuase i have been tuned twice by him, and I don't have a cable.
I have also heard good things about Touringbubble.

Yes, on 8/9s we usually tune with ECUflash. We do have a taxtrix cable as well. We usually will do a dyno tune first and then road test the car after. With a dyno that you can add load to it simulates the way the car behaves on the street, although not perfect. In our experience it has proved to be the best way to tune cars. :)

Hey Ryan,
how much to tune my car with an AEM? It was tuned by Dyno4mance a while back with the stock 9MR turbo but since i put the turbokit on it hasn't been retuned and its running extremely rich.

I'm sure we could work out something. I'm not in Albany often, but I do have family in the area. I don't have any trips planned soon though.
Cost would depend on method of tuning. If you have a Tactrix or EvoScan flashing cable, I can tune you remotely which is less expensive. Travel to Albany would be around $250 plus the tune fee, or you could travel here. You are welcome to e-mail me at matt@projecttuning.com with your mod list and preferred tuning method (remote or in-person) and we can discuss a final cost.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Its time for an engine build. Scott said one of my piston rings is worn which is causing some blow by. Aso, the meth kit was giving him some trouble. Made 421 on pump at 25psi and only gained 30p with meth. His recommendation was move to 100% meth instead of 50%. Will likely do that once the engine gets built.

I was considering a 2.3 initially and still might go that route but for now, my mind is telling me stay 2.0. Which ever way I go, Scott will be doing the build.

Its cool, GoBoost...I took it as constructive criticism, even with the title and contents printed in the manner they were.
Indeed, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and a lot of people will have mixed feelings on the thread in general. The way I see it, if my experience has educated even one person, then it was absolutely worth it.
As you guys have seen in my previous posts, I specifically wanted no more than 450hp and thats what I got. Now chance had it that based on my modifications, that's what they could safely get me.
As far as getting banned for your comments, I dont think so bro. You didn't step out of line at all, you're just speaking your mind. ;)
